Credit Karma has now sent me an email for the new account with the different email, but I can't login with password I created and when I try to reset it their system does not recognise the email address. Now even more annoyed.

I presume this is because I already have an account using my details.I don't want delete the account I am having an issue with as I have raised a complaint with ICO in respect of Credit Karma's breach of Data Protection Laws.1. By sending information about me to a third party (TransUnion) that they know is incorrect I have notified them of the error.2. By failing to rectify the error in a timely fashion (usually with a month, but on rare occasions can be upto three, now over six)3. By failing to notify the third party (TransUnion) they they have made a mistake and knowingly sent false information.Until I have the ICO decision I really don't want to delete the account.
And actually, all your points are backwards - TransUnion (the CRA) provide the information to Credit Karma (the third-party). Credit Karma are the third-party here, not TransUnion.
I'm sure this can all be resolved by simply deleting and re-creating your account.
Have you tried signing up to another report provider that uses TransUnion to see if the information they have is correct?0 -

Have you tried signing up to another report provider that uses TransUnion to see if the information they have is correct? No I don't have a deadlock letter because the response from Credit Karma is always we are working on it.And sorry, but my way round is correct Credit Karma hold information on me provided by me i.e. my name, date of birth, address etc. However they keep sending my personel data to a third party TransUnion, who then search for me based on those details and provide a credit report which contains all my details. The problem is that TransUnion have to search the electoral roll using the address provided by Credit Karma. Otherwise, they would breach data protection by showing me on the electoral roll at my current address, an address that as far as TransUnion know Credit Karma don't have.As for checking TransUnion on another report provider as far as I know Credit Karma is the only one, but if know better can you tell me who. However, as I said at the start of this I have contacted TransUnion directly and they were very helpful and confirmed they had all my details correct and explained why had to send out the report with the electoral roll for my old address. So I went back to Credit Karma and they then sent it back to TransUnion as a dispute, Hense my question about a contact number at the start.0 -
From the TU website it says Credit Karma gets its information from TU.0

Sorry OP but you’re wrong.
TransUnion provide their data to Credit Karma.
Credit Karma are not a CRA and are not carrying out searches and checks on you - it all goes via TransUnion.
TotallyMoney and MoneySuperMarket use TransUnion for their report data so there’s two other options for you to try.1 -
Thanks I'll try TotallyMoney and MoneySuperMarket. However, you are totally missing the point. Yes TransUnion provided Credit Karma with the result of the credit search, but their search is based in the information provided by Credit Karma and Credit Karma have admitted to me that they are sending the wrong details eventhough my account profile is correct. So if they can't amend my details properly on their system, why should I believe that they will delete my details form their system if I close the account.Every company that holds information on you even if that is only a profile for login has an obligation under the Data Protection Act to ensure that data is accurate and if advised of an error to amend it in a timely fashion. They are registered with the ICO and therefore should comply.1

If you delete your account then create a new one it will pull fresh data through from TransUnion. All that’s happened is your account with Credit Karma isn’t updating properly. The same thing happens with ClearScore and the MSE Credit Club occasionally as well. It’s really no biggie...

I don't see how deleting your account is going to have any bearing on your complaint to the ICO. Credit Karma will almost certainly hold onto the information for at least 6 years, you just won't be able to access it via those login credentials but your complaint can still be investigated.1 -
Yahoo_Mail said:That's not a DPA breach, why would it be? Most of the information Credit Karma get back from Transunion is data they don't have, if it wasn't there wouldn't be much point in them existing.

Apparently they can't release my current address because as far as they are aware I have not provided that address to Credit Karma. The rest of the report is correct as all my accounts etc date back to my old address therefore come up.True if I delete the account they will retain the information, but since they are not complying with DPA at the moment and I wont be able to access what they have if I close the account. How can you expect me to trust them to be forthcoming if needed for my complaint? The main reason I started this is to find out if anyone out there knows a way to contact Credit Karma without them automatically raising a dispute with TransUnion? I don't have a dispute with TransUnion.0
