If you read the BPA CoP , the claimant has 35 days to respond0

They have 35 days to respond to an initial appeal. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Ok, but same question I guess - what happens after 35 days ?
When I appealed their website said to contact them if we hadn’t heard after 28 days. I take it that’s a ruse to get us on the phone and catch us out.0 -
I knew that would be your next question
The answer is , nothing , it isn't enforced by anyone , not even the BPA
You may have cause for complaint to the BPA based on their tardiness of failure to cancel or issue a Popla code
But for now it's like waiting for a covid19 vaccine , sit on your hands and wait
If you want to chase it up and remind them of your appeal and when it was done , then do so , but try logging into their website and see if there is still an outstanding balance or not , plus check your spam folder too
Only a fool would phone them !3 -
I would follow it up or complain to the BPA on day 35, as we have seen PPCs pretend they posted a rejection letter with POPLA code, and by the time the person follows it up, lo and behold, the POPLA code has expired.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks both, much appreciated.
I shall wait till day 35 then, and make contact.
If I put the PCN ref into their website it
saya “ Unfortunately you are unable to appeal this charge at this time.”1 -
