Letter of claim

Yesterday I recieved a letter of claim from dcb legal saying I owe £160 for overstaying the 2 hour free parking on a retail park on 14th September 2016.
I tried the POPLA route and got rejected back in 2016.
Heard nothing from the parking company for 2 years then this.
I have replied to DCB legal asking what authority they have to charge me the £60 on top of the fine.
I've called citizens advice but they advised me to pay them. I haven't got the mental strength to fight them in court and the way my luck is I'll lose and end up paying loads more. Looking for some reassurance. The parking company was ODP st John's retail park Wolverhampton
Many thanks

Who are ODP?
Please tell us the full name of the parking company.1 -
Yes you do have the mental strength because we will give it to you all the way along!
You are NOT going to pay money to this ex-clamper - read about the criminality:
https://www.expressandstar.com/news/2011/03/31/26000-fine-for-parking-firm/
Time to put the big boy (or girl) pants on and stop asking the CAB. Read the NEWBIES thread for how to respond at each and every stage and keep replying on this thread when you waver! We will help you win if a court claim arrives, it's not even scary - most are phone call hearings now. I take part in them regularly.
Judges are fair and kind to litigants-in-person, unrepresented people like you, and Judges are not stupid and can see right through a PPC scam. So can MPs and so is the Government, but you NEED to do this (below) please!! Don't worry about putting it in the right words, just give your comments to stop this extortion in future! Please now make a real difference because not enough people have yet, and time is running out.
A TASK FOR SEPTEMBER - NB: this will take an hour or more to go through each section, and to do BOTH consultations:
The Government is (this month only) consulting about a new statutory code of practice (CoP) and framework to rein in the rogue parking firms. Read and comment on the draft CoP proposal and the enforcement framework consultation, and get everyone you know to do the same.
You will need to register to comment on the CoP and enter an occupation even if you are retired or a homemaker, but otherwise it is easy to navigate, and comment upon each section/subsection individually. You can save comments to edit later and or submit comments once you are happy with them.
https://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/projects/2020-00193#/section
You do not need to register to comment on the enforcement framework which can be found here. It has a link on page 5 to make comments.
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/913272/Code_Enforcement_Framework_consultation.pdf
Please complete comment on all sections if you have a view, remembering the vision of the Knight Act is to end extortionate parking charges. If you agree with us, the added fake 'debt recovery' costs are just double counting the cost of letters and MUST GO, along with the robo-claim legal firms.A Speeding fine is £100. A Local Authority lower rate parking penalty is £50. Which do you think a private PCN should be like?
HOW TO DO THE SUBMISSIONS:
Responses into the PAS 232 and MHCLG framework documents are not completely straightforward:On the MHCLG response, you have to answer the questions on a 1-5 scale from strongly agree to strongly disagree, and then put some commentary. No way to upload documents or alternatives.
On the PAS 232, you have to click on each clause and sub-clause to put your comments, and a suggested rewording of their draft. You can see comments which other people have written!
But, when you click ‘submit’, a message pops up to say your comments have been received, but that only applies to the particular clause you have just addressed.
You have to click ‘submit’ separately for each individual clause response.
Some people will be caught out by this but can revisit it and add further responses up to 12 October.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

We will help you each time you come back, but really encourage taking time now to address the scam and comment to the MHCLG on the level of parking charges, which are currently extortionate, unfair and aggressively pursued.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Harris the director maintained as he left court: "I have done nothing wrong. If we had fought this case it could have put the company into administration."
That was back in 2011 when times were pretty good. OBSERVICES PARKING were in a bad position then.
Harris must be nearly on his knees with Covid now and using DCBL ???1 -

It is so wrong for CAB to give you such bad advice, where parking scams are concerned they really are very ignorant and such advice must be ignored
You talk about your luck ???? well, today your luck has changed to being good.
This forum is dedicated to the destruction of parking scammers,, The members here have more collective knowledge than all the dodgy legals who dare to dip their toes in something they know little about.
The dodgy legals read this forum, it's a great source of information for them
Have faith, DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO PAY, DCBL have already tainted their claim and for a legal to do that on behalf of their client is disgusting and DCBL have set themselves up for a judge to bring out his cane and give them a good old spanking3 -
