I presume that the OP has one of those billing arrangements where the monthly DD get shown online but the energy used doesn't get shown until the system gets a meter reading - it gives a false impression of a healthy credit.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

That is my DD monthly amount. We are billed 6 monthly.0 -

£28 gas
We are billed 6 monthly. We live in a one bedroom apartment and both work full time so there is no way our bills should be this high surely. We have not got any new electrical products in the last 6 months etc.0
