No because she'd still be your wife!!!
Yes, but if I do not live in the UK that means my wife, who stays in the UK, cannot claim UC?

But you live in the UK and with your wife so no she can't claim it as a single person.

If I decide to live abroad and leave the UK and start living abroad, I will no longer be living in the UK.

From memory it might become possible for her to make a single person claim after you have been living abroad for six months. However as your overall expenditure would obviously be higher if you were living apart I can't see how that makes any sense at all.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

You can become a self employed writer. You would be expected to meet the minimum income floor after one year of trading. You will need to submit your accounts each month for your UC claim and they may require you to show some evidence of how you are working towards profitability. However, at present many self employed people are struggling to keep their businesses in profit and you would be no different.

How long before your book is ready to publish?
Are you in contact with any publishers?
Are you able to take on any other (paid) writing contracts?

If you can take yourself abroad for 6 months without working to write your book, that would tend to imply you have enough money to not need to make a UC claim. Particularly as it should be cheaper for your wife with you not there.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Thank you. My goal really is to find out any possibility of my wife claiming UC just for herself, that is, not as a couple.
How to achieve that? What would I need to do (no matter what)?

My parents live abroad, and I can live with them.
