We had an open plan downstairs in our old house. First viewer we had said they don't like open plan downstairs. Not like there was a floor-plan or photos on the adverts.

Why leave feedback at all?

To be fair, it may be a case of "will the rest of the house make up for these negatives".  If they viewed and the house ticked every other box they might have compromised. But it didn't and so the feedback seems stupid, but there is logic to it.

Our house is a "4 in a block", lower cottage flat our estate agent calls it.
Clearly states on the description all rooms are on 1 level.

We had a veiwer during the summer, they said our house would be ok if it had an up stairs to it. Lol

Just had the feedback on our one and only viewing so far.
’It needs redecorating and new carpets’ 🙄
It’s described as ( and is blatantly obvious from the pics)  needing work and is £25k lower than it would be if ‘perfect’.

feedback is just some words to tick a box because they feel pressured into responding, it is rarely truthful as  people are being polite and do not want to offend, or it would give away too much info about the viewer. 
So as the title of this thread rightly says, just chuckle at it, don't analyse it.

When I was selling my place last year I had some odd feedback too, but I do feel it might just have been because they didn't like it and my estate agent was pushing for it, so you can never know how much is genuine anyway. 

Next time I'm going to request zero feedback as it's just utterly pointless!

Really silly stuff. I don't understand why people felt that they had to make up some excuse. Why not just tell the truth and say that either they didn't like the property or it wasn't the house that they were looking for? That's what I used to tell estate agents, as I knew how annoying some feedback could be. 

I can understand someone having qualms about a garden being too big, as more land tends to mean more maintenance.  'The driveway is too long' is, however, utterly baffling.  What possible disadvantages are there of having a longer driveway and, resultingly, extra off road parking?  
And, assuming it's the same house, if the garden is too big and the patio is too small one might, reasonably, solve the problem by enlarging the patio.
Oh and feedback I received as a viewer, a serious one at that: Thank you for coming round but I'm going to take the house off the market and put it back on in a few weeks, at a much higher price.  Nobody's buying at the present price and I think putting the price up will attract a 'better sort' of buyer who is more likely to pay more money for it.
That's not how economics works, my love.
