Good idea, hope they kept all the old stationary they’ll save a mint!quirkydeptless said:Yorkshire_Pud said:
Tsb have a newish ceo Debbie Crosbie who helped bring Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank out of the doldrums so with branch closure programme and radical changes to current accounts expect there is a much bigger game plan for this bank. Maybe selling it or amalgamating with another bank next year?PRAISETHESUN said:Looks like I'm going to have a few spare switching accounts in a few months time...
Hardly a suprise though with the way TSB seems to be wanting to "shake up" their offering.(Bring back Paul Pester)Sell it to Lloyds, I've even got a catchy new name for them...

Standing (still) orders for senior citizens?

Look out Lloyds, Bank of Scotland and Halifax customers! They are bound to be following in very short order, methinks.

They're already dropping interest rates in a week's time. Virgin Money and Nationwide are the only remaining current accounts to beat instant access savings rates I believe, and both of those are limited to 1 year. It seems the era of current accounts as savings accounts is over.Consumerist said:Look out Lloyds, Bank of Scotland and Halifax customers! Four 'old' accounts, oh well, been fed up for ages with bank & savings accounts all over the place, might as well earn rubbish interest in a few less!
With pandemic, can't even book spectacular holidays &spend, spend, spend!Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.1 -
Virgin Money CA 2% is not limited to 1 year AFAIKDragonQ said:

Well that's another spare donor account0

I'd only just shunned my Metro Bank account for the Club Lloyds switching offer! The only one I haven't done but might be eligible for is RBS...I'm not sure if having switched to NatWest a year or two ago makes me ineligible?ZeroSum said:Well that's another spare donor account

Think it does make you ineligible, as I'm in same boat. I'm holding out for Barclays to offer the double blue awards again, or maybe if Virgin offer something at some point in the future.DragonQ said:
