My gas usage is 1695 KW per year
Electricity usage 2601 KW per year.
Last year TL cost £590.53 EbicoAs previously stated, your usage is measured in kilowatt hours, not in kilowatts. It seems you haven't done any comparisons using Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'.In my area the total cost would be £466.94 using Zog for gas (fixed) at £103.39 and Neon Reef for electricity (variable) at £363.55.If you prefer fixed tariffs then the total cost would be £526.71 using Zog for gas at £103.39 and Symbio for electricity at £423.32, or £528.28 using Green network Energy for dual fuel. You are choosing to pay far more than is necessary.Your electricity usage seems high in comparison to your gas. You need to make sure that you're not using expensive electricity for heating, so no use of immersion heaters, instananeous electric showers, fan heaters, electric fires, oil filled radiators etc. Use gas instead at about a fifth of the cost.BTW, if you need more advice it would be better to delete your posts here and start a separate thread rather than take this one off topic.
Thank you, I will see if I can get the deals here South Hampshire/ Dorset border.
I have a combi boiler ( new boiler ) ,no electric heaters, or shower ,mini oven used very little, kettle, microwave, small tv. Washing machine 14 minute washes at 30 decrees, wash up in 2 bowls so don’t use dishwasher. Not sure why the electricity so high, I have now stopped using electric kettle to see if it makes difference, use gas to boil water for tea.
Yes the rates are in KWH. Ebico not cheapest I know so BG gave same deal not lower.0 -

I tell you about the Worcester Greenstar 42 cdi combi boiler, it has not saved any money on gas, my previous 15 year old combi boiler which was not broken ,cost same in gas ,no saving the manufacturers like you to think that tough! I rang them up to give them a roasting!
The kettle you may be right about it, I also ditched the desktop computer for Ipad.Neon Reef for electricity they have a daft way of giving quotes, by the bedroom, how accurate is that! They say in my road most homes are 1/2 bedroom, not true, mine has 4/5 ( single person house) as has many others. Why not allow quotes by the known usage KWH ?
I said 3 bedrooms I can only sleep in one bedroom and was quoted £32 per month ,I find it very hard to work out price when you have standing charge as well as KWH .0 -

Karhut said:I find it very hard to work out price when you have standing charge as well as KWH.You don't need to. The comparisons sites will do it for you, I even suggested a couple that won't exclude or hide the results from Neon Reef. It's easy to work out the annual costs, just multiply last year's kWh usage by the cost per kWh, then add 365 times the daily standing charge. Check that 5% VAT has been included: domestic prices shown on websites should be VAT inclusive, but note that unit rates on bills are shown without VAT because it's added on right at the end.Don't forget that many energy companies (notably British Gas) don't show their best deals on their own website, only via selected comparison sites.0

Karhut, you cannot possible expect to heat a property of that size for under £600pa. Your gas usage is insanely low, which doesn't surprise me, given that you have your 'stat set to 16C.
Obsessing about whether you boil a kettle with gas or electricity or whether your router on is irrelevant: about 80% of your energy usage (if you heated the property adequately) is for heating and hot water.
A typical house with gas CH and DHW uses around 12,500kWh pa. Even a studio flat would use more than 1,695kWh.
If you cannot afford to heat the property, why don't you get a lodger (or two) to fill the empty rooms? Living in 16C temps all winter is endangering your health. No free lunch, and no free laptop2 -

This is the second time that another energy company has taken over my supply.0 -
MoneySavingNovice said:They have given me the same price but cut the fixed period from the end of October 2021 to the end of July 2021.In my view, they have not kept to their promise that they would '..beat or match your existing Robin Hood Energy tariff' because of thisI similarly found that they cut my fixed period by 3 months from end of october 21 to end of july 21.Is there anything we can do about the fact that they are lying when they say their new tariff will '..beat or match your existing Robin Hood Energy tariff'

Just got my offer from BG and very pleased. No exit fees, same tariff ( 1.96p per kW)extended by 6weeks and standing charge reduced by £7, beating Zog, the next cheapest by £40 a year.0
