  • What's the deal?

When it comes to in-car sat navs, Dutch company TomTom is the market leader, since its units consistently get good reviews and user feedback. The basic 'ONE' unit retails at £140, but it's possible to get it a bit cheaper, or reclaim a third of your outlay in Tesco ClubCard deals.
    • TomTom ONE GB (Version 3) £127 delivered with £10 accessories voucher. Amazon & Dixons have the 'Christmas Cracker Edition' pack, which comes in a festive box with a £10 voucher off accessories, for £127 delivered. The unit itself is compact and easy-to-use with full postcode search and full UK maps.
    • TomTom ONE GB (Version 3) £140 collect in-store/£145 delivered with £45 worth of ClubCard deals. Tesco's currently giving an extra 999 ClubCard points when you buy a TomTom. If you redeem these in-store they're only worth 1p each, yet use them to get Clubcard Deals (rewards such as meals and days out) and they're worth 4 times as much. The 1139 clubcard points you'd get for buying this TomTom would give over £45 back in deals vouchers. Read Loyalty Schemes article for more info on this.
If you've seen one cheaper then please post it below and I'll add it in to this post.

Beg you pardon, its £196 without the traffic alerts, otherwise i would of brought it yesterday!!!

Its just the unit, i think i may wait till after christmas! I think boxing day they will be cheaper, unless they start there sales early this year, then it could come down a few days before crimbo!
  • I would wait til Boxing day i reckon you could get the 520 with traffic updates for life for £199, not every retailer has got xmas sales on as they generally wait for boxing day ;)

Crikey! I think is because of the exchange rate. I might as well send my hubby over to America and tell 'im to get it 'imself. Its giving me a headache now! Thanks for the advice everyone and merry crimbo! :santa2:

If a Tom Tom has blue tooth facitility does this mean that the driver will get the traffic alerts and directions directly into his ear piece? Sry, if this should be in the techy forum, but it seemed pretty relevant.

  • Don't forget to go via pigsback too.

2 points per £ at Amazon
4 points per £ at Halfords
5 points per £1 at Tesco plus/or (not sure) 500 points for 1st online shop.
:D I love my nursing necklaces. Keep babies hands occupied and you free to breastfeed in peace.
