Cases overall in Greece are on the rise and it has just tiptoed into the govts 20 per 100k threshold.   Fair chance Schapps will add it to FCO advice on Thursday.
I do hope so, because Nicola "advising" people not to go to Greece with a quarantine, when you get back is going to make a lot of ordinary people loose money, even though I booked this in November, I have no chance of a refund or change of dates unless the FCO adds it to the list.
What Nicola should do is ensure people who have to quarantine after returning from a country, where there is no FCO advice, are treated the same way as someone who has to quarantine after being in contact with someone who has later tested positive.  OK you may still have to take unpaid leave and what you may get as compensation will be lower but you are then being treated the same as other people who despite not having the virus and who have done nothing wrong are being forced to self-isolate.

As someone living in England I hope the FCO does not change advice just to match what the Scottish government have decided and only change it if they believe either the risk of British people getting COVID if they travel to Greece is high, if they understand the Greek government will stop allowing British tourists to enter (either by banning Brits or by closing the airports to foreign arrivals) or if they believe Greece is about to impose a full lockdown, that could result in Brits getting stuck there.  If the Scottish people believe the SNP handle the crisis badly then they'll have the chance to vote them out in the future.

Luckily for me Germany and Turkey are still towards the bottom of the "corona table", hopefully it will remain that way for the next few weeks.
My only fear is they may take action on arrivals from Scotland/UK if our rate continues to soar.
  • Still in Limbo land.
    So stressed about it all.

It only went on the list late yesterday. Give them chance to get their act together.

Come on Butts...you are the fearless one.   Hopefully you get to your destinations and you know you wont be refused entry to get to your home?   Hopefully you will have the most fabulous holidays and make it home without having to isolate for 14 days.   All the better if you can self isolate without problem?    Have fun

Luckily as they are BA Packages any whiff of a quarantine and it's an automatic refund.
Incidentally regarding self isolation there was an article in "I" the other day saying that only 5% of people in Scotland who fit the bill have actually been checked up on during the 14 day period.

I don't think Rhodes is included on the FCO list except for Scotland

Tried numerous times to amend the dates with LoveHoliday but they are insistent that they are going to steal my money, I've not even asked for a refund I asked to amend the booking. So sick of them I will never use them again. Cowboys of the travel industry.
