You have only 21 days to get an appeal to them so get on with it, or you will find the stupid lease firm will have paid.

AND - please now make a real difference - A TASK FOR SEPTEMBER.

The Government is (this month only) consulting about a new statutory code of practice (CoP) and framework to rein in the rogue parking firms.  Read and comment on the draft CoP proposal and the enforcement framework consultation, and get everyone you know to do the same.

You will need to register to comment on the CoP and enter an occupation even if you are retired or a homemaker, but otherwise it is easy to navigate, and comment upon each section/subsection individually. You can save comments to edit later and or submit comments once you are happy with them.

You do not need to register to comment on the enforcement framework which can be found here. It has a link on page 5 to make comments.

At the very least, we say the parking charge level should be £50/£25 or higher level £70/£35, as per Council PCNs in E&W.

And we say the added fake 'debt recovery' costs are just double counting the cost of letters, and MUST GO because that is unfair and illegal.

Please be heard.  You can bet the hundreds of PPCs will be commenting.

No apologies for repeating this vital 'call for action' to consumers, on every thread this month!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have searched the newbie forum and I think I have found the right template for the appeal.  Can you confirm please?

    Dear Sir,

Parking Charge Notice [0123456789]: Vehicle Registration [AA11ABC]

I refer to the above-detailed Parking Charge Notice (“PCN”) issued to me by Premier Parking Logistics as a Notice to Hirer. I confirm that as the hirer of this vehicle, I am its keeper for the purpose of the corresponding definition under Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (“POFA”) and I write to formally challenge the validity of this PCN.

You will no doubt be familiar with the strict requirements of Schedule 4 of POFA to be followed in order for a parking operator to be able to invoke keeper liability for a Parking Charge. There are a number of reasons why Premier Parking Logistics Notice to Hirer did not comply with POFA; in order that you may understand why, I suggest that you carefully study the details of Paragraphs 13 and 14 of Schedule 4 in particular.

Given that Premier Parking Logistics has forfeited its right to keeper liability, please confirm that you shall now cancel this charge. Alternatively, should you choose to reject my challenge, please provide me with details of the Independent Appeals Service (POPLA), their contact details and a unique POPLA appeal reference so that I may escalate the matter to POPLA.

Thank you for your cooperation and I look forward to receiving your response within the relevant timescales specified under the International Parking Committee Code of Practice.

Not if it's a windscreen PCN.   You haven't been sent a NTH in the post.

You need to use the usual blue template.  Please, please, please, DON'T copy the blue appeal here and ask if it's this one.  Yes!

I cannot find the blue template you refer to.  Have looked through the newbies thread, searched "blue template" but cant find anything.  Any chance you could post a link to it?
     Thanks in advance

No link.  Go and look again.

Why are you searching for the words 'blue template' instead of looking for a blue...template?

No point in posting a link if you know already where the first post in the NEWBIES thread is.

Scroll through that post looking for some blue text. It really is that simple.
