The problem with other sites my address doesn't come up so I have to put in another postcode.  When I do Symbio comes as the cheapest Then Green then Eon
With MSE/CEC did you see the cheaper companies such as Igloo, Outfox The Market etc?  If not, you're doing something wrong such as limiting your selection by not always choosing the options that show the widest market.  And whatever you do, the CEC will never show you Neon Reef which should almost certainly be in the top three or four.
Did you use Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'? as I suggested?  If not, you've probably only been given the default results from companies which pay them commission and are therefore more expensive.

If you don't shop at M&S, the discount is useless.  Good luck with your switch.
Nope.  It's a bill credit applied to your account after the first DD is paid.

Thank you, Gerry1, aka Neon Reef's messiah. :)   I totally respect you but you might consider they will not be cheapest for everyone.

I did have them come up first but that was until I noticed those weren't fixed tarrifs.
Yes I used Citizens Advice and Switch and what comes up at the top is Symbio in every one I use, I have not got to think what's best cheap with possible problems or go with eon.
I'm put off with reef as they have no contact number if thefe is a problem.
    Cheers.

    Nope.
I'm not Neon Reef's messiah.  I'm getting an unbeatable deal (at the moment, it's variable), they haven't given me any grief (so far), I've never said that they're cheapest for everyone (Clif would have lynched me), I don't know how straightforward it will be to leave and get any credit returned, and I know I can only contact them via email and snail mail.
I'm peeved that the CEC breaks its promise to show all tariffs from all suppliers, so where appropriate I mention NR because the CEC doesn't.
Sor far, so good.  It works well for me, but YMMV.

    17.363        7.350
    15.147       19.102
    13.995       19. 000
    13.909        19.000
    14.391        18.000

Not the one with a standing charge of £190 per day, that's for sure.
I'd do the sums using my annual consumption from actual meter readings, I'd consider any cashbacks (unlikely if the tariff is cheap), I'd consider exit fees and I'd look at the companies' customer service ratings.  Renewable energy would be a plus, support for defunding the police and closing the prisons would be a minus.

I don't see anything with £190 in my original post🤣
