I don't understand why I can't get her back.  She lived with me prior to me moving in with him last year in March.  I have all the vet bills and was the main dog walker/feeder.  He hasn't even taken her for her innoculations so she's now not covered for anything;  I did all this when she was with me.  He is keeping her out of spite and even when I went to get my furniture etc he asked if I was taking Roxy with me as she was pining for me (not surprised how he used to talk to her).  Obviously I couldn't because he'd made me homeless for 6 weeks;  but to not even let me see her?   That's just not fair AT ALL.  He has NPD which I didn't realise was so bad until I moved in with him.

Roxy is now 7, she had been living with me up until March last year.  Moved in with him and he kicked me out June this year!  It's like just over 3 months now and I've spent most of my spare time looking up where I go to get her back, thru small claims or whatever but getting conflicting answers.  It has not been easy as I have had to find all my paperwork after moving too, which has just about all been photocopied to present as evidence along with videos of me and Roxy and witnesses even heard him ask if I would take her when got my belongings.  He then had a hissy fit, called her in (she attempted to get in my sister car) and slammed the door.  Nice bloke, NOT

If you can take her back without breaking and entering, and without the ex becoming violent towards you afterwards, then I'm afraid that is what I would do. 'Possession is 9/10ths of the law . . .'. Especially as she is chipped and registered to you.
    It's not difficult!
'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner.
    'Wonder' - to feel curious.

Because she is jointly owned property. And as the story of solomon shows - it's not prudent to cut her in two.

Your decision regarding vet bills and how chores in the relationship were split is largely irrelevant.

Dog vaccination is not mandatory, it's not even neglectful in reality.

Life isn't fair, though I do understand that this must be emotionally difficult.

As others have said the dog is property, you could always buy him out if he agrees. Draw up a basic contract and make sure you pay electronically so you can prove it. Ideally some texts with his agreement would be good.

You do not want the police getting involved, because as i said taking her without his consent is theft.

Indeed possession is 9/10s of the law. So im unclear how you think advocating theft is a good idea.

Seriously dont encourage people to commit crimes.

He has a history of "assult" which I didn't realise was quite so long until interviewed by police to get my basic necessities when he kicked me out.  He even lied to the police during a phone call while I sat there!  He will not reply to texts, I've tried that just by asking how Roxy is and if I could go see her;  he's not playing ball.  Of course being a Narc he has to be in control, period!  Most people who came to our place could see how Roxy had changed from when she was just with me and the cats.  If he raised his voice she would shake in her chair or get up and go in another room out of his way.  Why should she have a miserable existence with him?  If he gave her a treat and she didn't want it straight away he's say to her "f**k you then; go without".

I'm unsure how his criminal history is relevant?

Have you specifically offered to buy him out? I'm sure if you offered £200 for an £80 animal, he would be tempted.

Any concerns of neglect or abuse should be given to the RSPCA.

He won't take the money as he thinks I've stolen some of his things;  which he packed and can't even give me a list of!  RSPCA were informed but could not comment on the outcome due to confidentiality but were satisfied;  obviously not knowing what Narcs are like!  Nice to others but opposites behind closed doors.  Jeckel n Hyde is how I'd describe him as did others.

If the RSPCA are satisfied then that really is the end of it. Sorry

No I'm sorry I don't believe that;  I will get her back somehow, she does not deserve a miserable existance with him!  Thank you for your advice and comments though.
