Happy quieter Monday lol. Really strange but looking forward to having a quieter working week planned. The guilt is still there as I could have been earning more wife said she thinks I need to deal with seeing quieter times as a personal weakness probably right tbf idk why I’ve got poor stamina for it these days tbh but something I probably just need to deal with. Def can’t go back on the chang.

@katsu only went once remember it as wife had done her foot hurt to drive so I took her. Wife has been a couple of times I think for the seconds tbh was actually a day out for son. They have paint a pot events for kids in summer. Remember my son loved it was a nice day out actually just wished I’d realised it at the time.

Idk re her finding some one else. She wants better than me and I don’t blame her tbf just wished I’d been better from the start. She knows I don’t want her to go but that’s not my choice. !!!!!! knows why but her parents want her to give it a few years now I’m sorting myself out FIL actually helped me quite a bit. Living in some surreal universe lol.

@getmore4less my sister and I have a few things from my parents’ home not worth much but worth a lot to me and her. No Denby ha. Wife def into the full set we’ve got it all but not after a second set thankfully.

Wife considered that we could fly back to a closer airport save my mates time. Don’t think she’s loving the idea of a three hour ride in an old diesel Land Rover either ha but I’ll ask her to have a look. Spot on with dates - 15th ideally. She wants to book this week. Gives her something to make a video about on IG I suppose lol.
Don't think anyone looks forward to any journey in a Land Rover 90 :D

Glad you all had a good day yesterday and I hope you enjoy your quieter working week. It will do you good to not have such a hectic week.

Your holiday plans sound good. I would love to do Santorini and I agree biting the bullet and booking flights before everything opens up and prices go sky high is a good idea. October may not be as popular but you never know with this pandemic and people delaying holidays. Slightly cooler than in the summer which I prefer.

Good that your wife appreciated the effort you made yesterday. Hope you manage to keep cravings at bay.
We have dropped into Santorini a few times and we like the islands

As our regular holidays are probable not going to happen this year, may need something different just to see what was available I pulled up 2 weeks in Santorini for Oct

Was quite surprised £340pp(3pax)  in a small hotel, room only with flights(hotel was £25pn on its own) 16th-30th Oct
the weeks before 1/2 term were cheaper and would suit us better anyway.
For my initial searches I quite like a site called love holidays the search parameters are good and they found some fantastic cheap Cuba deals a few years back,  get a benchmark then shop around

see if this link works  for 2people 2 weeks 4th Oct (£280pp) needs more research loads of other options but for this sort of starting money won't break the bank (doing this is good practice for when it might happen for real)

if the link fails it was  Hotel Narkissos,  Kamari,  last few reviews looks OK

I’m glad your wife enjoyed Mother’s Day. Also pleased to read about the holiday, it will be something nice to plan and look forward to.

Glad your weekend was a success, including seeing off the cravings.

I don't think your wife truly wants to leave either but try and remember this needs to be a 2 way street and not just you owing her all the time and apologising. The sooner she accepts a few flaws of her own and stops trying to make you feel bad the better it should be. Fingers crossed FIL's support extends to seeing his daughter's problems as well as yours.

Book the holiday - every man and his dog think its a good idea lol. There are so many pluses that the 'value' quota for the spend is very high indeed.

I get the impression you are very used to making decisions both as boss at work and at home.  Your mate is offering to do you a favour and has quite a large say in which vehicle is used - you can offer yours but I suggest you don't 'tell him'.  And for that length trip maybe he would appreciate an offer to share the driving as he will need to do the return once he drops you off.

@Onebrokelady I’d say it’s worth it tbh could be just that I’m clumsy but it does last well imo.

Another note noticed my ipad making me look illiterate. 😆 CBA to go right through the post either ridiculously tired this evening work day tomorrow too.
I am too accident prone to buy Denby, I know it's hard wearing but it wouldn't last five minutes with me, I get through dinner plates like they are disposable 😂
    Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,120
