DH has gone to the clinic.
I have cleaned the kitchen thoroughly, including getting down on my hands and knees (difficult!) to scrub the floor. the steam cleaner just wasn't getting the stains off.
WMx1 ready to hang out, have just created another load.
A man came to read my meter on behalf of Avro. Er, no thank you - I switched from Avro to Bulb about 2 years ago and am now with Pure Planet. He ticked something on his screen and went, no problem.
Now time for my shower and then coffee. After that I will hoover and dust all through downstairs and clean the bathroom and ensuite, if I have the energy!
ETA: Cleaned the bathroom as soon as I got out of the shower8 -
Lunch done
Outside table wiped
WM on again
Kitchen wiped down
Washing up put away
Emptied DW

Morning all. I was in the WAC so got up at 4.45 and before first paid shift I cleaned most of the downstairs windows inside and walked the dogs. Since first shift I've been for a walk with DH. About to take the dogs to the dog field to play, then I need to do council work before second paid shift and then we're off out to DDs tonight for a takeaway, first since February.Spend less now, work less later.9

Evening all,
HHI and wm on before work
Full day at paid stuff. Nearly taken out by an overtaking blue light police car on way home. I almost shut my eyes as I thought he was going to hit me.
Easy dinner thrown together just as grocery shop arrived
Cold stuff wiped down and shoved into the bursting fridge and freezers
Kitchen tidied and dw running
Well that is more than I thought I had achieved today. I really cba to do anything else this evening.7 -
Hi all
Up at 5.45am to do 30 minutes exercise, empty DW, tidy around, hang sheets out, make myself clean and presentable and get into the office for 8.15am. 8 hours paid stuff done, tea was chicken thrown into a jar of curry sauce for the menfolk, I had veggie curry out of the freezer. Kitchen tidied and DW on. Think my thyroid issues are settling down as I dont feel quite as tired.
Ooh and you would have been proud of me, I needed to have a difficult conversation with a male colleague who is a bit intimidating and someone else offered to do it for me but I said no, I want to do it myself. I am trying to be more assertive at work.
Asb you work with older kids dont you? I dont blame you for finding it hard going, even under normal circumstances.
Kitchen floor is a bit grubby but otherwise house is reasonably OK. WFH tomorrow and Friday so that gives me a bit more time.8 -
Rosie had a good walk
Washing brought in and line on the whirlygig mended
Curtains pressed and ready to finish off in the morning; also QHI done as tea cooked itself in the oven with the HM apple crumble (thanks for the inspiration, Kaz x)
Texted carpet fitter from 7 years ago to ask if he's still working and had a reply, so I must ring him tomorrow
DS1 rang, wanting details of the new shelves - I managed to lay my hands on them immediately, photograph my notes and email them to him - he is impressed
Zoom meeting attended - and it actually kept to time
Now off to eat apple crumble and cold custard

YL .. how are all your sickies doing? Everyone on the mend I hope.
Not done huge amounts here today..
Dot is 9 today so we did presents and cake but she had to be watched like a hawk.. she slapped squeak in the face and was being pretty awful. She was happy with presents and went to bed happyish so its not all bad.
DW done with all the cutlery.. there was so much!
pack ups done
trying to sort the BG homecare renewal.. I am letting it lapse again and saving £32 by starting a new policy.. it is disgusting they think they can get away with it.
My tariffs are up at the end of November.. I'm assuming it is the end.. when it says fixed Nov 2020... does that include November or not? .. ah... it does actually state 30th.. so 49 days before that is 13th October so I shall set a reminder to change provider in the 14th... then panic about the bills lol. avoiding eoff/SP/BG etc does anyone have any good recommendations or do I say stuff it and go with uswitch cheapest which is claiming to be £600 a year less than my current one.. I don't change provider because it is too stressful and I have decent customer service where I am.
I dragged Hetty aound the hallway and 2 rooms downstairs and halfway up the stairs.. that is as far as it reaches.
I booked a next vip slot but I am not buying anything I can not pay for immediately and that is for christmas, I have a collection of teenage girls to buy for! I have 3 items put aside on ebeast and a new paddling pool I have located for £20 instead of the £80 I paid for our old one.. it is exactly the same, same make and size.. madness.. September is clearly the time to buy pools! I need to locate my present book so I can get up to date on where I am..

Good evening! Late to the party again!!
Long dog walk this morning, followed by a cooked breakfast 😁 Mum popped over so had a cuppa & a chat. She came over Saturday and helped at the allotment by cleaning out the shed. Not bad for an 80 yr old! She asked if we wanted to pop over for dinner on Sunday as my bro & SiL will be there as they are taking her away for the week on Monday on a canal boat. I declined as I reminded her that it will be more than 6, unless I left the kids at home! 🤣
1 load of washing done, DW done, WU done, kitchen S&S, utility toilet & sink cleaned & half hour weeding done in the garden. I also managed to rehome 2 binbags to the CS (yay!) I will do more at the weekend or next week.
Man came to fix the thermostat. After paying the £50 excess, the first thing he said was 'have you checked the batteries?' 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ However, all is not lost as the boiler had started making a grinding noise yesterday - although obviously it wasn't going to do it today! Good job I videoed it!! He has ordered a part & will be back. Then he will service the boiler because it is on his list - despite being done in May!! Oh well, I may as well get my 50 quids worth!
Thanks Mooomin for the app details - I will check it out later.
Hugs to those struggling. Night night all9
