What happened? Was there a flylady evacuation at 2pm yesterday? Or have you all gone on a flylady excursion....without me
Morning xx
Weekend Willi is here - no idea where this week went. There was the hot-desking week at work which never happened as people took Annual Leave or just didn't appear when expected - so I sat at my own desk all week. I was covering for a colleague who was covering for a colleague for that kept the week ticking over. DS was offered another job, hummed and hawed for days and then decided to accept it. DS's GF moved in - last night. I don't know where she put all her stuff but it is no longer on the landing! Just three bags of clothes laid on the sofa waiting for a clothes rail to arrive - today apparently, and everything else has mysteriously vanished whilst I was sleeping. Does anyone know where the 'stop' button is on this roller coaster?
I'm not sure which way is up but I'm doing ok. Just a teeny tiny wobble. Twice. But I grabbed it quick and breathed slow and steady and the wobble went so that's good.
Flying? Always a minimum when I'm at the paid stuff as you know but the birds have been fed and the bird bath filled up. Wasn't it hot on ...erm...that day in the week when it was hot. Head's a complete shed lol.
Anyway I had my hair cut after work yesterday and then called at Mr C00p so we have food for the weekend. DS has gone to work and won't be back til 6.45 ish tonight. GF is in bed - wise girl, Brew one has been slurped - just picked up my mug and it's empty: must have drunk it on autopilot! I need to get my calendar / bullet journal back up and running especially with the run up to Christmas looming on the horizon.
Round 1 =
make the bed
get showered and dressed
feed the birds
put out the rubbish
brew 2
Just waiting for GF to vacate the bathroom - I heard movement. Then I'll make a start.
And breathe ...

Made it to the weekend! Phew... although I do have some paid stuff that I have to do this weekend, need to finish off a presentation for Tuesday, not going to think about that right now though, flying beyond the dailies has not really been done, I have kept mostly on top of the washing though so that’s good.
Not quite sure what to tackle first today, will have brekkie while I wait for wait for DH to surface and will decide then.
Back later with a report of some sort of progress x7 -
Morning all - if you aren’t all sunning yourselves and sipping cocktails, leaving me and Round to hold the fort.
Yesterday slipped by, minimal flying, so here we are at the weekend again. DH is out later for a few hours, DD is off to work shortly, so I will be home alone for a while.
Wm is on, dw emptied, I have a scrappy list that needs looking at, and the non-fridge shopping from the other day still to put away. I’d like to have some quiet time in the garden, sorting out the neglected greenhouse, pots and the actual garden which gets a blitz twice a year, then I wonder why it always looks a state.
Right, to start - finish cuppa, wake up DD, find list...
ETA - Round - ShedHead, I like it. I have it! 👍7 -
Morning all,
Sorry I've been a bit AWOL. I'm struggling a bit with the constant changes, and we are in an area affected by the new lockdown from Tuesday. I got up at 6am and so far:
- children fed and dressed
- rubbish out
- WUDUPA
- 1x WM on the line and second load in
- Poo picked
- Food waste caddy emptied
- Money shuffles and tax paid
Another cuppa beckons now xx8 -
Round 1 completed. Plus sorted washing in to loads and set first load swishing and threw out past-their-best-by-a-long-way flowers.
Eek - whenever GF has been to stay before she has laid in til 11 ish. She's up! And been down to ask for the hoover. In her PJs. I did say last night that they can do what they like in DS's room and pointed out where the big hoover and the little hoover are kept. She obviously took me at my word. Well I did say 'mi casa e tu casa' .....maybe she speaks Spanish!!!
I'm ever so slightly un-nerved but supping brew two and taking big breaths.
I'm going to WUDUPA a bowl of pots to calm myself down. AleX@ play 'I gotta feeling' Twitchin in the kitchin will soothe me.

I'm no calmer but I've WUDUPA x 2 bowls full of pots, WUDU and recycled 16 yogurt pots, rinsed and recycled circa a dozen cans, ripped up and recycled a cardboard box and put away the vodka and gin that GF brought down from DS's room. Marmalade jar and plastic trifle dishes are now soaking.
I've checked the weather forecast and I'm now going to peg out the first load of washing; second load is swishing.
asb - it's fair to say that I am struggling a bit with the constant changes going on here too (and that's before I get out of the house!) but we're all here to help each other through it xx I don't know how I'd cope if I didn't have my flylady friends in my life - and I mean that most sincerely folks
Right - washing out. Yes. Right.....

Morning all.
Rollercoaster could be fun, round - especially as it sounds as if you can cross one room permanently off your Flying list
(((Hugs))) to asb - you just amaze me with your "get on with it" attitude. You know how to message me if you need to xx
Hope you get your quiet time in the greenhouse, Fayolle. I just wish I had a greenhouse, but this garden is too tiny.
Following the eye test on Thursday in the crowded shop, I had a panic yesterday and refused to go to the cinema with DH. Instead I had a mad baking session - cheese scones, plain scones, Twinks - and ate *at least* 2 of each before he came homeI've had a bad night's sleep (WAC 3.00-5.30) but didn't post in the wee small hours because I hadn't got anything useful to say.
This morning I have hung out the sweatshirt and trousers that I clawed off DH as soon as he walked in from the cinema and immediately threw in the wash. For once, he agreed to humour me: I think he could see how stressed I was.
I have measured the spare bed, for a board to fit underneath, in front of the trundle bed gap - to stop Rosie shedding hair all over the mattress and bedding. DS1 is going to buy the wood for that and my new bookshelves today.
I must also measure the bathroom floor for new vinyl flooring and then go and choose some, having managed to contact the fitter on Thursday.
No sign of the roofer yetI hope he comes before the rains return...
Hope everyone has a peaceful weekend xx
