Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
A better start to today. DH taking things easy, Poppet still unwell but I expect her meds will kick in soon and so far today I've made a start on dailies, refilled vases, watered indoor plants, s&sd bathrooms, shined kitchen sink and a wash load is in the machine.
Having breakfast and then I'll walk the dogs.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all
Late in for me but I’ve been up and flying for a while! 2 x wm done, 1 flapping on the line, 2 just finishing, bins and litter trays emptied and washed, en suite scrubbed and floor mopped, DH is hoovering the bedroom and lounge as I type, 2 cupboards and 2 drawers cleaned out and rearranged in the kitchen as they weren’t working for me, a few bits chucked out at the same time. Dining room and conservatory dusted, DH will hoover there next while I do the downstairs loo.
I need to get some paid stuff done so will be doing that when the house jobs are done, hoping it won’t take too long so we can get out for a walk.
take care all, more hugs, sticks, spoons as needed x8 -
Morning xx
I'm up, dressed, bed is made, two loads of washing swished and pegged out, fed the birds and refilled the bird bath, walked to Dad's and had a coffee, taken a phone call from S, put out the rubbish and recycling.
All go innit?
Hugs to all

threw the DW on while making a brew..Uniforms all clean for tomorrow.
I need to do lunches and hang out some washing.. which will require me bringing the dry stuff in.
I have 2 ebeast items to package. Things are selling slower so it must be time to list new things so I shall get some photos done after my cuppa. I have so much more to list but it is so boring! lol
and everyone needs a bath.. again...
I need to send someone out for bread too.. or no lunches!
Just purchasing my first batch of christmas presents.. I apparently need to knit DS1 a jumper so that might be his christmas sorted .. easy one! DD1 is having a rainbow of towels. DS2 is having jelly beans and a new coat, DD2 is done, Boog is having new pjs as those are all that ever get worn given the social anxiety and the fact she never goes out. Meem is having pjs, and I am looking for a cheap decent bike so she can give the borrowed one back to her friend.. the friends mother is moaning like a beach about meem having it, her friend who owns the bike is not. Moomin is easy.. make up, bedding, and she is having the bedroom decorated in beautiful bright colours when Meem moves out.. we are most excited! Quaver I am not sure yet.. drawing stuff, and some new boots I think.. The small 4 are getting big shared things, a paddling pool, (new to them) ipad, lets dance/sing for the xbox and then some bits each. I have got them a new duvet set each in the next sale.. OH's stuff is on pre-order already.. (logged here because my christmas book is upstairs! lol)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Busy day achieving little.
2 hours at the allotment, came home with various bits of veg which WILL go into the meal plan for the coming week, and 20 kg of apples! Onions and garlics are dried and stored, so that’s winter sorted - apple stuffed onions....maybe not.
DD has had a driving lesson and now retreated to her room for more revision for upcoming mocks. She has a cold, so let’s see what school make of that come tomorrow.
Easy dinner of pies from DH’s favourite pie shop, so next job is to turn tomatoes into a sauce for another day, apples into a cake, and plums into a crumble.
Lots of hugs, especially to Jazee and Dancemum x
See you all on the new thread.9 -
Dancemum it sounds a bit feeble to say I am thinking about you and hoping there is some kind of solution out there, and that you find it soon, but I do genuinely mean that.
Jazee hope DH continues to get better.
DS1 is feeling ill, lots of non-specific symptoms, headache, feeling sick, tired and generally feeling rubbish. Nothing Covid19 related and no temperature, but he now tells me that his back hurts where the Lymphoma started. Please God it cant be starting again, it would be horrendous for him, and I am not sure I have the strength to deal with it. He has a blood test tomorrow.
Other than that we have had a nice day, went out and did one of our favourite walks, far too many people about but the paths were wide enough to avoid people.
Oh and I have been reading a self help book someone recommended that encourages you to stop trying to live your life to please other people, some really good advice in there for me!10 -
I am exhausted, DD and I have both come down with colds. I am going to get both children to bed very soon and follow suit after some cheese on toast.
YL - I am so sorry to read that, I really hope it’s just a run of the mill bug and he feels better soon xx
Dancemum - i wish there was something we could do to help you. Have a virtual hug from me x
I think we’re all struggling at the moment. Please everyone stay posting and keep your best flylady smile on. I shall certainly be channelling the FL vibes to get me through work tomorrow!
People with dogs - the dog is itching loads despite having her routine flea & tick treatment last week. I can’t see any bites on her, I’ve washed her bedding and showered her too but it’s not helped. Any ideas? X8 -
ASB.. have you checked for allergic reactions? One of my cats has massive reactions to some of the spot on flea treatments and I know some breeds of dog are more prone to skin irritations.. Maybe he rolled in something and a bath might help? Have you checked for ear infections? They sometimes make them itch.
YL.. I know you must be worried .. you know where we are.. fingers crossed the blood tests are clear of lurgiesI hope the other one and his housemates are all on the mend too!
Jazee.. sending hugs for your Eastenders life.. Mine is the same, it is very draining but please take extra care of yourself.. you are no use to anyone if you burn out
SIL rings me every few days.. she is amazing she always manages to ring when I am in the middle of chaos.. I was on the loo today.. last time I was doing dinner, the time before I was putting the girls to bed.. it's like she knows when I am at my busiest and rings then lol.
DW done second run..
I did not get the washing hung out but I have made a christmas present dent.. I sorted OH in full, I just need to pay for DD1's and make a start on DS1's jumper, but Twinkle asked for a pink hat so doing that first, and I need to finish my top.. I got him some pants to go with it. I got DS2's jelly beans.
Ooh.. Questions.. Does anyone know where you can get tshirts for manbeasts which are actually longer than normal ones? DD1 wants some for her ex from the children for christmas but he is fat and normal ones don't cover his gut.. I suggested she just got him a 6 month WW membership and normal tshirts... I don't have to pretend to like him any more!
right.. beasties need tucking in.. Many hugs xx
