Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
Going to get dressed, quick walk with the dogs then off to hospital for fasting blood test. Also need to pick up my car today from garage, not that I really use it much now.Have a great day everyone, it's going to be another hot one.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all,
Managed to get back to sleep thankfully. Bank accounts checked, cuppa made, now to get my war paint on. Flying will be after work! Have good days all xx9 -
Good morning all
I had the best sleep ever between DH getting up and him leaving to go into the office, 3rd time since March. All 30 minutes or so, but still good. Is this a coincidence??I am on double school run today, also supervising the driving once each way, so today is going to be bitty. I have loads to do, so will probably annoy you all by posting, just to keep myself accountable.Have a lovely day all, I am off to actually read the lists before I crack on for an hour.6 -

mooomin said:@ionafan the app is called Out Of Milk. I only downloaded it yesterday but I like that I can customise the pantry shelves and that there's a shopping list function. It's on Android, I don't know about the Apple store.
My night was disturbed by a strange dream, but I finally woke up as the sun rose at 6.55 - a blazing red ball. A cuppa was slurped and my last washing load from yesterday was hung out by 7.15. Since then it's been a slow drift downhill!
DH was supposed to be gong to SW, but he's had a far worse night than me, so he's putting himself back to bed "for an hour" - I expect him to resurface at lunchtime. Unfortunately that puts paid to my plans to hoover all through this morning, but I will give the kitchen floor some attention with the steam mop. Apart from that, I have WMx2 and more curtain hemming to do. I have already cleared and wiped the DR table so that I can sit comfortably near a window.
Also to be done:
- chase up the roofer for a quote
- ring my friend S
- ring one of our young families
- try to get a hair appointment
- sort some books for DS2
- update my calendar and address book
- Rosie's walk
(((Hugs))) to all in need, especially WAC members and everyone working in schools and colleges xx8 -
Me again.
DR dusted and tidied, some bits rehoused from utility room sides, still more to do in there.
Bins emptied, scrubbed and outside to dry. Including the peely bin, to banish the fruit flies. All fruit now in the fridge /cooked / frozen.
Cloakroom and ensuite cleaned, bathroom next after coffee. Towels are in the wm and will be outside as soon as finished. Then it will be attack the kitchen before driving back to small town for DD pick up.Iona - re keeping sun out of your study - for our east facing spare room !!!!!! sewing room, I bought a pair of long cotton voiles and a white lightweight metal pole from the Swedish shop to try out. We also have a blackout roller blind, but I wanted something for the mornings when I needed to see to sew but didn't want to be blinded but still let the air in. They were definitely not expensive, and have done the job, so I’ll be keeping them. I still haven't managed to sit in there and sew more than once though, but that’s a different story...7 -
Hospital done, long walk with DH and we picked my car up. Home, showered and I now need to tackle lots of admin before paid stuff later.Spend less now, work less later.8

Thank you Fayolle. That's pretty much what I was thinking of doing.
The dirt on the kitchen floor lives to fight another day, but I have only got half of one curtain width to hem now. Then I have another bit of ironing to be done when I press the curtains
Onwards and upwards - DH is feeling better, having finally surfaced at 1.00 when I called him for lunch.
