  • Yes, sadly out £255 plus the 3 days leave for the various court appearances. Not to mention the hours of research and prep. At least my credit score is repaired :)

Yes, please stick around.  The knowledge you have gained in a relatively short time is more than we started with.

    Well done Ferrybird :)

"Really I should have objected to my integrity being questioned in this way."

VCS/Excel and their reps do this. They basically called me a liar and said that I had no intention of paying for car parking in their WS.  This is why I worry a bit about telephone hearings. It's easier to get the measure of a person when seeing them face to face and maintaining eye contact.

  • @Snakes_Belly I had a very similar thought about it being via telephone hearing. Probably feels a lot easier to cast aspersions when you don't have to look a person in the eye.

From what I've read on here in the past 6 months VCS (and Excel) seem to me to be the most unpleasant, pernicious operator in this field. That they then support a raft of other parasitic entities who all make money from intimidating ordinary people AND that they co-opt the legal system to further their ends is abhorrent.

It's a shame more people are not aware of this scam, but for the ones that do become aware at least this resource is here to help people fight back.

@Ferrybird, You should stick around. I don't consider myself a regular as I don't have their knowledge but I do enjoy getting involved in certain cases that are similar to the circumstances of my case.

You're doing a damned good job as it is. I always regard you now as a 'regular'.  Keep it up gal! 😊
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks Mr U :). There are some grey area's like the POFA. I mean to buy myself a book sometime about this area.
