Virgin are offering the V+ box for half price £75 including installation (was £150) I just phoned and ordered mine and its coming on the 13th Dec this is for both new and exisiting customer he also said I was paying too much for my package and discounted me by £10.50 a month unlike the miserable cow that I spoke to when I said I was thinking of cancelling all I got from her was how much notice I had to give
if you are on XL package V+ is free to use and also if it ever breaks down virgin will fix for free
the number to call is 0800 952 0850 and just say you saw the ad in the paper
Did a search and didnt find anything so hope I havnt double posted or posted in the wrong place

I called and asked for the V+ box and was told that as I am on the 3 for £30 package I have to pay full price (£150).
Has anyone else got this for £75?

You should be able to get it for £75 as its a promotion but it may only be in certain areas.
I got a little promo thing through the door - looks like a little red fold up box thing and it says on it "unwrap a V+ box for half price" so you may get one soon - im only on the free package but it says you have to upgrade to the xl pack to get the half price deal.
Hope this helps.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives.:j0 -
The offer has been on for a couple of weeks, I had mine installed at the weekend, it's great. Was mentioned in threads on here and a long thread on HUKD, those who were told they weren't eligible seem to be getting it by ringing back and speaking to a different person!0

Will give it another try then. Am on a good deal as we already have the XL tv included in our £30 (I complained when we lost Sky One, even though we never watched it!). Its always worth another go though! ThanksMy baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0

Just lost my reply!! Here goes again..
will try calling them again. We already have the XL tv in our package as I complained when we lost Sky One so that shouldn't be a problem. Will ring again tonight, just hope they haven't put a note on to say I have already asked!!
Thanks
Sorry you got this twice now...the server timed out on me but still posted my original! My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -
Anyone who's waiting for installation - I got my written confirmation today - 3 days after it was installed. The letter was dated the day AFTER the installation date!!!0

This offer has a few exclusions - one is that if you have the XL top up discount (i.e. xl tv upgrade free for 12 months) saving you £9 a month (£108 over a year) you don't qualify. That offer does save you more than the v plus offer. Please don't give the agent hell on the phone when you call as at customer services they are not authorised to give you both. You could try retentions but they may accept your request to disconnect (its likely after getting the top up discount you are in a contract anyway but no harm trying).0 -
I have kept my discounts - I hope, but haven't had the first bill yet! If you are prepared to trawl through this thread (9 pages):

you will prob find all the info you need. Lots of people have kept their existing deal AND ordered v+ for £75.0 -

Do remember that as I explained above agents are not authorised to grant it to the case above discussed.Retentions may be able to. Do not pressurise agents - accept their answer - try again - then move on. That forum talks about customers calling and getting agents to work around the system and bend the rules. That can result in disciplinary action for the member of staff - you might get a good deal but at someone elses cost.0 -
Don't worry, I won't shout at them! I'll just try it tonight and if they say no then so be it. Am very pleased with the deal I am currently on (not for 12 months but forever) so I won't push it. I'll let you know their answer (but I'm not holding my breath!).
Thanks for all the info :beer:My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0
