    BP026318406188

    Kind regards
    Mario
    Your code try 3468
Thanks a lot. Works like a dream.
Now I can drive with sounds👍
  • Can anyone help with a code for a Rover R660 - which is a Philips 22RC349/60B.

The 14 digit serial number is RG349FV1086148.

    Thank you.

Thank you so much Trackman, I really appreciate this, worked like a charm.

Out of interest, and if you don't mind me asking, how is the code calculated? is it based on the serial number or is there just a huge database like "serial number XYZ = code 1234"? I'm an electronics engineer that's all, I got some data from the EEPROM on board as the radio checked the pin but it was 8 digits instead of 4, however the 4 crucial digits are in there, and in the correct order.

    Cheers!

Your Philips code was found by searching for the serial number in a database like as you mentioned above.

Some codes such as the Ford M units are calculated from the serial number by entering the serial into a computer program which then works out what the code is.

The Ford V units codes however are totally random and a copy of the database is needed to find it.

Blaupunkt codes are usually calculated from the serial number, but there are several different algorithms used to find the codes and the model number is needed to get the right one. Some of these codes are only available from a decoding specialist.

Some others can only be found by reading the EEPROM and using that to find the code.

    Thanks again Trackman,

I've used the ford M-Calc and have extracted the pin from EEPROM on a really old radio (can't remember the brand), but beyond that my experience with these things has been very limited, it's interesting to know what the processes involved in these things are.

    Again much appreciated.

    Cheers.

Sorry. Your code will only be available from a main dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a radio decoding specialist.

Check your serial number. It should be a V followed by six numbers.

If it is V 283950 then the code will be 6921
