    If it's the original radio try switching off the radio, then the ignition. Turn on the Ignition and  then the radio, The car and radio should communicate with each other. 

    If not the original radio, then your code will only be available from a main dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a radio decoding specialist.

    I really need to stop buying cars which need work and don't have radio codes :( Any change of a code for a Phillips? radio doesn't appear to have a serial number but does have a product number FD1099082028556...think I found the serial number...RG741FX2028556

    The RG594F number is in the right format for a serial number.

    Is it the number that is stamped into the radio case?
  • Yes it is. There are others on labels on the top of the casing

    I've had a look on a couple of pay sites. They say code is not available for that serial number.

    It means it would have to go to a decoding specialist to read the chip in the radio to find the code.
