As an existing TSB customer with a Classic Account which has just been morphed into a new "Spend and Save" account on the 9th of September, I consider that these notes to editors actually confirm my eligibilty for the cashback rather than suggest that I won't get it.

That was certainly my TSB Customer Services representative's take on it too when I spoke to her this afternoon. There would be no point in automatically moving people to the new accounts if they were not able to make full use of the new account facilities.

But as you say, time will tell!! We should know one way or the other by 2nd October when the cashback either does, or does not, arrive  :)

Eh? Which notes to editors are you reading? It's certainly not the ones I have linked.

It's actually the one which your massive red arrow points to:
"Existing customers can open a new Spend and Save account to be eligible for the cashback"
A new Spend and Save account has been opened for me!!

Just to clarify - you have a new account called Spend and Save, not just your old Classic account relabelled as Spend and Save?
If only the latter it's not a new account.

I can see what you are getting at but I do not think your interpretation will be correct if you think that my two day old relabeled Classic account will not qualify for the cashback. ...........Time will tell...watch this space  ;)

No 3 of Note To Editors could not be clearer, I fail to understand why even warrants a discussion, of course Z Man is absolutely correct

In the first page of this thread, Ed-1 posted a copy of the email sent to existing Classic account customers explaining that their account was changing to a Spend & Save account. There's no mention of any cashback in that email.
