just had a chat with TSB CS and was told that I can get £5 cashback on my converted account (Classic > S&S) by doing 30 debit card transactions. I dont know how much true is that but I have it in writing, so going to challenge if I dont get £5 this month by 12th
@Ghostcrawler did they pay your fiver?

not yet, will give till eod.  Anyone else being paid £5?
  • I have to say I think that this is the most idiotic thing TSB has done - and that is saying something. What do they expect people to do - it's almost as though they want people all around the country to start paying for their shopping one carrot at a time.....?

They want us to use their debit cards and it is us who dont want to use debit cards anymore but still need their £5 reward. I am not comfortable buying single items to earn £5 at supermarket, rather I prefer paying into my savings accounts (NS&I and Skipton) at my own time.
  • Yes so this TSB-card brilliant scheme sees hoards of savers topping up their direct saver accounts £1 a day for 30 days every month and before you know it NS&I get fed up with this and ban debit card top-ups.

TSB need to think things through...

so TSB has to think of a way how we can earn £5 without using debit card and spending like normal?
