  • a next gen console for £249 is a great deal.
The hard drive may not be the biggest, but I only play about 2 - 3 games a year anyway.

Hoping some ps5 digi pre order info from 21/;00hrs tonight.
Only Sony could possibly stop S Series purchase.

It's not exactly a next gen console when you look at the specs.

The Series S only has a 4 teraflop GPU where the Xbox One X which was released 3 years ago has a 6 teraflop GPU. The PS4 Pro which was released 4 years ago has a slightly more powerful GPU.

So it may look good at £249 but not that good when you look at the details.

I like initial  S series specs, though teraflops don't mean a great deal to myself.
If it plays a decent game of call of duty amongst one or two other games, that should suffice.
Looking forward to attempting pre order next week.
And it's digital-no more physical storage to remove from flat.
X series is my reserve choice -such a large physical dark box -not to my own liking.
Anyone answer if Games pass will be available to purchase separately.

No I had Tues 22nd in mind, was working this week from weds -missed 8 or 9 am ps5 launch.
Going to 'take part' in X or S series pre order launch -from comfort of home.
Enjoy Digi only idea, though lowest cpu power could be a regrettable purchase, Id'e like to experience some kind of 'noticeable difference'
X series is staring to take my considerations.
I had cancelled both 'pre orders' via shop to net before Sony Launch as didn't want to commit debit card details for them to choose a launch price.

Good luck with ps5 search -I see Curry's etc are starting to send e-mai invites.

Enjoy I have another year at least before applying any credit agreements, not sure if gamepass will be offered separately at some point.

If you buy using the Microsoft Xbox All Access programme you get the console, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes live and Gamepass) and also EA Access included as that'll be thrown in with the Game Pass Ultimate subscription in a couple of months. With Game Pass Ultimate you also get Microsoft X-Cloud that allows you to play Xbox games on an android device. I know for the Series X that it actually works out slightly cheaper over the 2 year agreement than getting them separately.
