Tesco Mobile
Does anyone know if Tesco Mobile are any good? I am currently with TalkMobile, and have been for several years with no problems. Now my mobile has died - the power button doesn't work. Tesco seem more affordable, and I shop there every week. The other alternative is to buy a new phone and use my existing sim.

Been with them for 5 years no issues.
Only thing to remember is your switching to a different network and Tesco use o2 so make sure your satisfied with o2 signal in all the places you most frequently use your mobile in.0 -
As you shop there every week your Clubcard points doubles up.
I am on SIM only and it means for me a free mobile account

Used to be with them until a couple of years ago and had no problems, only switched for a better sim only deal.0

Plusnet Mobile and Lebara have cheaper SIM only tariffs. Always better to buy your own phone and then use SIM only.No free lunch, and no free laptop

When I was with Tesco mobile it worked out cheaper to buy a phone and sim package, put the sim in the phone I already had and sell the Tesco phone on eBay.macman said:Plusnet Mobile and Lebara have cheaper SIM only tariffs. Always better to buy your own phone and then use SIM only.0 -
I’ve been with them 10+ years, the only problem I’ve ever had was a few years ago when there was an issue with the local mast, but they credited my account with no quibbles.
As well as earning Clubcard points on your bill you can use your Clubcard vouchers at double face value eg I change £5 Clubcard voucher per month to pay my £10 sim only bill. (My direct debit hasn’t been needed since May 2019!)Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur1 -
Small reservation: If you need wifi calling then they are no good.0

Agreed; if there's one thing I'm hoping they'll sort out it's Wi-Fi Calling and calls over 4G.giraffe69 said:Small reservation: If you need wifi calling then they are no good.
Other than that I've been happy with them as a customer. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
If you know somebody on Tesco mobile. They have 'recommend a friend' scheme. It can be worth up to £20 for both parties

Thanks for the responses. I think I have made my mind up and will switch to Tesco. Yes I did see that £20 offer in store. My boss at work is with Tesco, but she is on holiday!0
