Where did you buy it from? If you bought it from the Apple store, chances are they will replace with a refurb if it is less than 6 months old and it isn't obviously dropped.
If you bought it elsewhere you may need to approach the retailer you bought it from to exercise your consumer rights.0 -
If there's a dodgy battery inside, it may be bulging, and may even have caused the breakage. Certainly suggest this and get them to look into it. You might be able to see the front or back bulging, yourself.

When you say iPhone SE, are you referring to the one that was originally released in 2016 or the iPhone SE (2020)?
