That is the headline I was just reading in the press reader copy of DT Business 1/9 front page.

Deloitte hired to sell to unnamed buyer.
Mentions Octopus and EDF main buyers of domestic customer books in past few years, but larger suppliers also  in the hunt...

My fixed rate tariff end at the end of the year. Is there a home for low energy users?

  •  Trying to find out if and how this might effect my supplier, the leccy https://theleccy.co.uk/ who are part of robin hood somehow, been trying to change tariffs for months but still nobody in the call centre.
  • What's DT Business? - you got any link/photo to the actual part about them looking to sell please?

Deloitte are the company they hired to do a strategic audit/review at the beginning of the year.

The council didn't look like they were considering the sell based on the votes last week about improving governance in their companies, including Robin Hood.

Plus with the extra loan to get them through this year's industry bills, they probably think they can turn the corner with it.

Read that, mentions that a 'strategic review' has been published which is likely to be about Robin Hood, however it seems to be clutching at something which isn't a guarantee.

I'll wait and see what happens, but I won't be surprised to see the council drag their feet as long as possible if they still think they can make some money.

Robin Hood Energy are still offering their "Summer Saver" tariff on their website which suggests to me that their demise may not be imminent.

Given it was 'limited' to the first 1,000 customers, yet it has been available for a few weeks now,  it suggests to me that they are still desperate to get revenue in and are not succeeding ...
Nothing there to suggest that the end isn't approaching at some speed...

NCC are probably desperate to offload them before Ofgem decide to withdraw their licence, as I suspect that they are once again building up debt on unpaid REGO's. The council bailed them out on that before, I can't see them doing it again.
