What a day yesterday was. We had a great time flying the birds of prey.
Then we headed to the Grouse and Claret where we stayed on the campsite behind the pub. We had a lovely meal in the pun and we had a nice breakfast in there this morning.
We are back home again now. Got a load of washing in now and will put some bedding and towels in later on.
We have taken the dog for a walk around Rufford Abbey this lunchtime. He enjoyed that.
The fridge on the van has decided to play up again today. So need to order a new part for that this week.. Its the same problem it has had previously and was fixed under warranty. At least we know what it is.
Not much going on this afternoon. We are having a rotisserie pork loin for dinner later.
The dog is now asleep now. He is shattered again. He won't be much trouble this afternoon.2 -
Always good to see how well you're doing. I remember you saying about the birds of prey earlier in the year / Christmas - my son would love that. Also forgot how beautiful that part of the world is, I used to like visiting Rufford and Creswell Crags to get out of town once in a while; haven't been for ages - these days when I get out of a built up area and see open space it usually triggers the panic attacks.2

Back to work again. It's been a damp start to the day. Walking the dog in the rain was horrible this morning. He certainly didn't enjoy it!
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun turkey wraps.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- weekly shop

Another day another dollar.
Breakfast and lunch are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals and we have both taken our packed lunches to work. It is the other half's birthday today and he has requested a takeout curry for tonight.
No jobs tonight other than walking the dog. We are having the curry and maybe a drink or two depending if we fancy one or not.1 -
Happy Birthday to OH 🎉🎈I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Just ordered the replacement part for the van fridge.
Hopefully that should arrive in time to fit it at the weekend and get everything up and running again.
I have transferred some money from the savings account to pay for it but hoping that by the end of the month we can put some of it back again.
At least we have not had to resort to credit cards!0 -
Midweek already.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is garlic and herb chicken with lemon rice and vegetables.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- weigh in Wednesday
- cleaning the kitchen
I have said I will cook us a curry on Saturday. That way we won't be disappointed and we will know what we are getting!!0 -
That's such a shame when you've waited a long time for your meal! Did you send it back and/or refuse to pay for it? There's absolutely no excuse for a vindaloo being less spicy than a bhuna - that's absolutely ridiculous. So not such a nice birthday meal as hoped for.
Definitely better to cook your own. At least you know how much spice you like!
