Josselin looks really pretty lit up in the evening, nicer than during the day.

Have you decided where you're going today or just going to start driving north and then look for somewhere after an hour or so (which is what we often do!).

We are probably staying at Messac today.

Don't think we've stayed there.  Is it by a river/canal?  We try to park up near water as often as we can as it tends to be a bit cooler, besides which we don't like big towns!

Looking forward to seeing your photos of the place.

It is by the river but there is no breeze. Its very oppressive today.

Sheltering in the van for a while until it starts to cool off a bit. Going to walk into town later for a pizza.

Got some clothes rinsed through and hung on the bike rack to dry so not a completely wasted day 🤣🤣🤣

It did eventually cool down enough for us to venture down the road where we found a lovely bar and chatted away the evening before getting what had to be the best takeaway pizza we have ever eaten sat by the river.

  • It was another hot and humid day yesterday.

We travelled early and spent the afternoon shading from the sun on the free aire at La Gacilly.

When the sun had gone down and the heat started to abate we head out to explore the town.

That looks a nice Aire.  Where are you finding the aires from - Camper Contact, Park 4 Night?  Love the waterfall in the town.

We have used a mixture of the All the Aires book and Search 4 Sites.

It has worked well so far.

We've never used Search 4 Sites  in France - do you have the Free version or the paid for version.  Did have a look at the free version but wasn't that impressed but that was in the UK and the couple of places we tried weren't big enough for our van!  They were definitely only suitable for campervans - we're only 7m so not exactly huge.

We have the paid for version. £5 a year I think it works out at.

Not found a problem yet but our van is only 6m long.

We are on a commercial aire tonight. Still only €16 but much more like a campsite with marked out pitches and full facilities including electric but we can't be bothered to get the cable out!
