That’s brilliant news about your friend’s mum. Fingers crossed she remains stable.

When are you going to France?
We set off on Friday so they have the best part of a week to make sure she is well and stable.

This time next week we will be getting ready to load the van on the train!

A day of cleaning today if the weather holds for us. We are scrubbing the van inside and out and generally getting it ready for the road trip. Will go and fill it with diesel and check the tyre pressures as well.

The dog is at the groomers this morning at 9am for his holiday haircut. We need to call into the farm shop for a joint of meat for dinner tomorrow when we have dropped him off.

Breakfast this morning is cheese on toast with some nice extra mature cheddar and sourdough bread. Dinner later is beef curry with lime and coriander rice, vegetable samosa and naan bread.

I don't think we will get the bedding dry today so that can be a job for tomorrow. Might do the house bedding and put it through the dryer instead today. Really want to hang the van bedding to line dry though. It always smells better lone dried.

Well the weather has put our plans out of kilter today. No washing the van ordering the garden today.

We have popped into town to pick a few bits up. New socks, have to have holiday socks 😀

The dog is looking very smart with his fresh hair cut.

Met some new residents at the farm earlier.

Busy day today. We need the weather ti be kind.

We need to clean the van inside and out and check the fluid levels. We also need to take it for some diesel and check the tyre pressures.

Then we need to clean the car inside and out.

Lastly we need to get the grass cut. We could do with trimming the hedge but will leave that while the wasps are active. It can wait until we get back from France.

Breakfast today is a bacon and egg sandwich and dinner later is roast pork and all the trimmings.

We need to walk the dog as well. He will enjoy a garden day while we are busy cleaning.

Sounds like a busy day ahead. The weather looks good for this morning but rain later according to my trusty weather app. So you’d better get cracking 😆

Weather stopped play again. At least we got the van sorted out though. So that is now ready for going away.

Tomorrow looks dry all day so we will clean the car and do the garden tomorrow instead. We were going to head to the coast tomorrow but we have decided to not go and get stuff done at home instead. We are at the coast on Friday anyway.

The washing machine is busy. That's on its second wash and dry of the day. The dishwasher was put into action cleaning the cooker hood grills and the hob pan stands. The other half is keeping himself busy doing some ironing and clothes packing.

Dinner is prepared ready for later. So now the rain looks set for the day it's time for a beer.

So today hopefully the weather is going to stay dry for us and we are going to clean the car and do the gardening.

It shouldn't take all day so instead of going to the coast we will go to Matlock Bath and get fish and chips there instead of the coast. The dog loves it there anyway.

Breakfast is bacon and eggs, it's fish and chips for lunch and we have some pork leftovers from yesterday's roast dinner so I will make something with that for dinner later. Not sure what yet.
