milann said:Have a great weekend away. We’ve decided to stay at home over bank holidays and go away at quieter times. It’s still a big novelty not being tied to school holidays for us 😆
I forgot to put spare shoes in when we went to Cornwall and Dh ended buying some as he’d travelled in fur lined ankle boots and it was much warmer there than at home 😳😂
Our main holidays are outside of the school holidays but with limited annual leave remaining we have taken the plunge and are going away for all the bank holidays this year. We will probably regret it at some point!1 -
I agree about clothes! We each sort our own out but I'm the one that ends up putting them away in the van. For the list it just says clothes!
But on the list will be things like:
Food - including open milk, eggs etc from fridge
Electricals - Ipads, Firestick/remote, Router
At least by listing it out it means nothing important gets forgotten!
We sometimes go away for bank holidays but not always. We had planned to go away this weekend to a rally but unfortunately the venue was changed and where it's been changed to is in the middle of nowhere so would mean being stuck on site for the whole weekend - fine if you're happy to do that but we like to get out and about going for walks, a drink and a meal at a pub etc.
We haven't got anything booked until June when we go to France for the month - no we're not using P&O! Tunnel for us every time.
Hoping to get away for a couple of weekends next month but again that will just be to rallies.
Have a great weekend in Norfolk.

JD we used to do rallies with the Caravan Club when we had the caravan and the children were little. I hadn’t realised they still did them…..might investigate 👍January spends - £587.582

We have not been to any rallies. Not something we have looked into.
Mind you we are getting pretty booked up for this year now. We have something booked in for every other weekend between now and July when we head to the Isle if Wight!2 -

So the van is now fully loaded and I think I have remembered everything this time 😕
The dog is overly excited now because he thinks we are going in the van right now. He is going to be a nuisance tonight. I can just tell.
It dawned in the other half that he hasn't eaten any meat today and there is none in tonight's dinner either. Told him it won't do him any harm 🤣🤣🤣3 -
I don’t think he’ll wilt away to nothing without meat for a day 😆
Have a fabulous time in north Norfolk.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Early start to miss the traffic this morning. Think we might be a bit late though. Can hear the main road now!
Breakfast is from a greasy spoon cafe on the A17 this morning. Dinner tonight is steak and kidney pudding, roasted garlic and herb sweet potato and mushy peas in a big Yorkshire pudding.
I don't think it will be a spendy day today. We will have had enough I imagine by the time we get to site. Might just be a walk with the dog and beers next to the van.2 -

The traffic was surprisingly light. We set off at 6.30am, had breakfast at the cafe and were in Wells next the Sea for 9.30am.
We had a couple of hours in Wells before heading back along the coast to where we are staying.
We have set ourselves up and cracked opened a beer. Will go for a walk later.
