Thanks guys. Its you guys keeping me on the straight and narrow  :D

When I look back and see just how much we did owe when we started this diary and how much interest we were paying I sometimes cant quite believe how far we have come in such a short space of time.

It's astonishing isn't it?  You're doing fabulously well so keep at it!  I can 't believe this is my 3rd attempt at being debt free... I should have learned the first time :(

I definitely don't want to go back to having loads of debt right, left and centre.

Now that we have learnt to live within our budget we plan to keep it that way.

    That's great news!

We didn't have a huge amount of debt but it seemed to never get below the £5k mark. Then I discovered this site and gradually the penny dropped - took two or three attempts mind 😆

It was somehow much worse waiting for the van than it is the car!

The van is now tucked up safely in the drive with a full water tank ready to set off first thing Friday morning.

We even fitted the new cab mats we have bought. The dog will be happy with them. They are much softer than the old one 😀

You have to keep the dog comfortable. :)

It will be a no spends day today. Number 4 for April. Not doing so well with them this month but we expected that to be the case and it to be a spendy month.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. It was cereals for breakfast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is salmon wellington with garlic and herb new potatoes and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • load of washing which should hopefully be dry when I get home ready for putting away
    • walking the dog
  • Garlic on the menu again - I approve! :)

Good news on the MOT, that must have been a relief, it's stressful enough when it's the car and I would imagine parts for a motorhome are far more expensive.
