I have finally come round enough to have a drink 🤣🤣🤣

Just put dinner in the oven. Think it will be an early night tonight.

We are definitely having a quiet weekend next weekend. I want to be fully functional for a full weekend 😀

Poor Syd - good job you don't have to send him to school. He might be better next time, now he remembers you come back (if there is a next time )

Its pay day. £150 sent to Card 4.

Not a no spends day though. Had to go and pick some bread up this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is goan pork curry with rice and samosa.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • vacuuming the house
    • vacuuming the van
    • unloading some belongings out of the van
    • walking the dog
  • I have opened a Premium Bonds account this morning. Only started it with £25 just to get the account opened and set up but the intention is to put in £50 per month to start with and look to increase that with time.

We really need to start putting some money into our savings account again as well and get that built up to an amount where there is always enough in there to pay for any vehicle and home running costs and maintenance costs.

Hopefully in the next couple of months we should have a couple more debts paid off and a bit of cash freed up again each month to start putting some meaningful amounts into the savings account.
  • Yay - welcome to the PB club RS! You'll be joining the rest of us from April then hoping for the Agent Million phone call!

Glad the weekend was a good one - poor Syd though thinking he'd been abandoned!

  • Great idea to start building up savings.  It is always reassuring to have a cushion of money there ready to pay for services/car repairs and holidays etc. Lots of people use PBs although I have to say we do not.  Our sole savings vehicles now are an internet saver attached to our joint current account (pays a pittance), a YBS internet saver (pays slightly more) and a regular saver attached to my personal account.  Everything else invested.

It wasn't the first time he had stayed with them. He has stayed with them for 9 days previously and was fine.

He is back to his usual self again today.
