No spends day 16 for January.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having roast beef and gravy in Yorkshire pudding for my lunch and dinner tonight is beef in black bean sauce with noodles.

    Todays jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • load of washing
First day back at work for the other half. I'm still testing positive so it will be the full isolation term for me now. Not enough time to get two negative tests in between now. I will be out and back to the office on Thursday.
  • Ooh I could just eat crumpets for breakfast… Sadly it’s just muesli for me.

At least you can be back in the office from Thursday and freedom isn’t too far away

No spends day 17 for January today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having jacket potato and cheese for my lunch and dinner tonight is haggis with root veg mash and fresh veggies.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • washing the bedding
Still testing positive. It is refusing to go away. Not much point testing further now as regardless I am at work on Thursday.

It's outstaying its welcome now. Seems to be the same for everyone who gets this strain.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • My hubby loves haggis but I'm not a fan, he does a nice dish where haggis is used and then I eat around it :D

Although still positive, are you feeling well?

Yes I generally feel well. We are both getting tired quickly at the end of the day so we are going to bed early rather than fighting it. I still have a cough that is more annoying than anything. It comes in fits and starts.

Hopefully it won't linger around for too much longer.
  • You're the second person on here recently  who's been getting positive LFTs well past the 5 day mark! Goes to show that the shortening of the isolation period will be of relatively little use to most folk at a guess!  definitely a good plan to not fight end of day fatigue too.

Regardless of the results tomorrow is my last day of isolation which seems a bit strange. Will seem odd wandering around knowing that I am still testing positive but at large in the public.

I believe that the theory is you are not contagious after 10 days.

But the theory also says you can shift the virus in 5 days as well!!
