Been enjoying your posts - particularly 'revisiting' our trip along the NC500.  I have a question - you're in Tynemouth - is it pronounced Tin-mouth or Tine-mouth?  My issue arises from my (now deceased) parents living near Teignmouth, (obviously the other end of the country) - never worked out if it was Tin, Tine, Teen or Tain!

That makes sense - unlike the Devon option!

Was it too busy? I’m sure you’ll enjoy Tynemouth just as much.
Couldn't find a suitable spot. We pulled into one space but it was too tight really.

Still it is lovely here. Glad we moved on.

Enjoy. I'm supposed to have been in Tynemouth this weekend but the book fair has been cancelled.  I know nothing about pizza places there but there is excellent fish and chips as well as reasonably good ice cream.

We used to live in Devon although originally come elsewhere and always say Tin-mouth

Still very much on holiday @RelievedSheff glad you’re enjoying the last few days and thank you I think we could enjoy it when I’m a bit better. I remember as a kid very vaguely visiting relatives in Tynemouth; we lived in Gloucestershire at the time and it was a !!!!!! long way from home stayed in Sheffield for a night actually on the way up there I recall. Fwiw it’s Tyne-mouth (mouth of the river Tyne).

Last night out tonight. Well it is supposed to be but the dog has a bit of a dodgy stomach so we will see how he gets on today, we may well end up heading all the way home if he gets any worse. We suspect he has probably snaffled something he shouldn't have when we have not been looking. He had us up in the night to let him out which really isn't like him and without putting too fine a point on it he had soft poo yesterday afternoon and evening. Hopefully he will improve a bit today. He was still fine in himself and eating his kibble. He is on a strict biscuit only diet for the next few days!

If we stay out we will be heading to Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire for the night. Breakfast will be smoked bacon and scrambled eggs on toast and we will pick something up from the very nice butchers there for dinner later on.

We will need to get some diesel today I think. We could make it home with what we have but we would prefer to get back with fuel left so its ready to go again when we fancy using it.
