    Have a good weekend 👍
    January spends - £587.58
  • Great diary and loving all your travel pics. Your dog is so cute!
Really great to see you putting all your plans in action, I guess having the diary helps to keep you on track especially as you see all your balances go down.

Years ago I had one issue with one credit card, overspending on it. Once I had it paid off I chose to not have a cc for maybe 5 years, as the discipline made me only buy what I had in the bank now., I managed just fine including travelling internationally a lot.
I felt I had to take out a credit card last year purely to get my credit score as high as possible for the massive mortgage I am planning to take out.. To be honest though now I hate seeing any balance on it all  and any spending on it normally  I pay off within a couple days.  I keep having to force myself to use it - great how we can all retrain ourselves on financial habits.
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Just got set up on our pitch for the weekend. We were expecting it to be a bit run down and shabby given the very cheap price of £12 per night but actually it is really nice and very well manicured with big pitches.

We have managed to get into a nice pitch tucked away in the corner of the site.

Had a lovely quiet night last night. Only sound was an owl close by.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores today. We have a full English for breakfast and tonight we are having a turkey mince chilli with garlic bread.

Today we are going to have a walk down the canal into the next village and have a couple of drinks in the waterside pub there before heading back along the canal and having a couple of drinks in the pub just down the road.

It shouldn't be a massively spendy day.

It will be a spendy day today. We need to refuel the van, fill up the gas, go to the farm shop and call in at the supermarket on the way home.

Breakfast is a full English and dinner tonight is roast chicken with all the trimmings.

We had a lovely day yesterday but it was somewhat spoiled by some idiots on site who were very loud up drinking until 4am this morning 😡

Glad you had a nice day, shame about the idiots last night though. I heard people in the early hours walking down our road with a radio on singing along to it very loudly.  Luckily they passed by quickly. I can’t really say anything as years ago my friend and I were reprimanded by a policeman in the street. We were walking home from a night out singing very loudly and neighbours had complained. For some reason we’d acquired a police cone but were allowed to keep it as long as we stopped singing 😆

It's a shame someone ruined it last night. Unfortunately the site warden is on holiday this weekend, I suspect had he been here he would have put a stop to the loud behaviour.

It won't stop us coming back here. It is a lovely site. Not the owners fault 😒
