Do you work close to each other and similar times then?

Sounds like you’re making it work generally.

Having to move the car and the van to get at the car in the garage is stupid. Lot of new build places like that all parked up one behind the other. I couldn’t cope with that ha so can see it’s a pain and one I didn’t even think of. I’d offer to babysit the Sierra for you ha but I’ve already become responsible for this MG or will have in the next few hours my Mrs is bringing it home anytime now and already messaged me to say my mate has loaded up a load of spares in the boot what he thinks I’m going to do with those idk and other half of garage is taken with the BMW and soon to be taken by the milkfloat lol.

Yes we work just around the corner from each other normally and I start 15 minutes after him and finish 15 minutes before him so enough time to get round the corner again to pick him up when he has finished work.

We had to shuffle cars around at our last house to get the Sierra out of the garage but it wasn't quite so bad we only had the one car to move then.

When does your milk float arrive?

Just been out front to give the grass a cut and tidy up and come back in wondering why I can't smell curry yet.

Slow cookers work best when you turn them on at the wall :D

Couple of hours on high power will see it caught up again!!

That’s multi-tasking for you 😆 I do things like that on a regular basis.

@RelievedSheff makes a bit more sense now and I see how it will work well - did you used to travel into work together pre-van / pre-lockdown given you work so close?

Milkfloat arriving in 3 weeks all being well - went for one that was in stock. Kids are strange these days - son is really excited about it ha fml no hope for the future.

Hope the slow cooked curry was ok in the end?

The curry was spot on thanks.

Yes we travelled into work together prior to me working from home. My car just wasn't getting used. It sat on the drive and didn't move for months on end but it was still costing us insurance, tax and MOT every year.

You never know. You might come round to driving an electric car 🤣🤣🤣

Makes sense then - you going back to office f/t or hybrid?

It is a 0-60 in sub-5 sec milkfloat at least ha but idk it's not a bad car in any way just not the same without a petrol engine iyswim. Think I'll be a Neanderthal still running a V8 into my 60s or something ha

We will all be going back to the office full time. They are phasing in our return from the 19th July.

You won't be the only one still running and ICE vehicle. We plan to hang on for as long as possible :)

It won't be a no spends day today. We have a home shopping delivery coming with some stuff for our holiday next week.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having chicken salad for my lunch and dinner tonight is rabbit casserole in a giant yorkshire pudding with greens.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • load of washing
    • sorting and packing away the home shopping delivery
    • staring to load up the van
    • walking the dog x 2
