Won't be a no spends day today. We need to pick a few bits up from the shops after work. Shouldn't be expensive though, probably around £20.

Breakfast, Lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am have egg mayo sandwiches for my lunch and dinner tonight is BBQ while the sun is shining and it is hot out.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • vacuuming the van
    • dusting the house
    • prepping the BBQ
    • Walking the dog x 2
The other half doesn't feel too bad after his jab yesterday just a bit tired this morning. But then that is nothing new, he is always tired in the morning and a nightmare to get out of bed.

If there weather is as nice up in your part of the world, it’s perfect bbq weather. I’ve been sitting outside for my breakfast every morning for past few days.

Every room barring one in this house has a south facing window so there is no escape from the sun or the heat. Lovely in the winter as we get free heat but not great at this time of year when it is hot out.

We thought we would and it is a lovely bright house but it gets far too hot and the trouble is the heat builds over a number of days. The house can't lose the heat over night so as each sunny day goes on the house gets hotter and hotter.

Every window and door has been open this week to try and cool it down but it isn't working. We did consider getting in the van on the drive last night. That was cooler it had been shaded by the house all day.

So would I. The back of our house is south-west facing, the front north-east, so we get the sun on the front first thing, then on the back for the rest of the day, which is great but the side is overshadowed by the church next door so the dining room and DD’s room can be quite cool. Quite funny that the TV in our bedroom thinks it’s in Lincolnshire and the one in the kitchen thinks it’s in Birmingham 😆 Bit of a pain when you want to watch local news though.
