We don't really think that this year will be a fair comparison of what life with the van will be like. We know that it is going to be stupidly busy wherever we go.alt80 said:Amazing news really pleased for you. 🥂
re van idk what’s wrong with me today lol but that sounds amazing to me just go wherever you want see some of the world from a different perspective I suppose. Really hope it works out for you and it’s as good as you’ve been led to believe.
Hopefully after this year when foreign travel is back up and running again then things will calm down and we will get a much better idea of what we will be up against.
We know that it certainly isn't all going to be a bed of roses. We know that from having the boat and are under no illusion that it's all going to be plain sailing.
When are you parking a van on your drive?

Sorry meant hope the van itself is as good as you’ve been led to believe and good enough for you to buy it rather than the van life as I’m sure with the boat etc you know what it’s all about running a mobile bed.
Fml I said I thought it sounded nice not that I was going to buy my own haha couldn’t see myself buying one suppose I just like the idea of getting away from round here right now lol.3 -
We have all fingers crossed that the van is a good one.alt80 said:Sorry meant hope the van itself is as good as you’ve been led to believe and good enough for you to buy it rather than the van life as I’m sure with the boat etc you know what it’s all about running a mobile bed.

A couple more have just come onto the market as fall back options, but the one we are viewing on Friday is the sensible option and the one that makes the most financial sense.2 -
The other half has brought the dog back filthy. He has taken him straight upstairs for a bath 🤣🤣🤣0

My parents used to just hose us and the dogs down outside before we were even allowed in the bath 😆Current mortgage (1 Jun 2022): £289,501 - originally £351,999 got to love London sized mortgages!
OP Goal 2022 = 3.75% in OPs: £6,975 / £13,200

That was the initial plan. But he was getting ready for a bath anyway. We were going to give him one this weekend so it made sense to just chuck him in the bath today.rugbymadfamily said:My parents used to just hose us and the dogs down outside before we were even allowed in the bath 😆
The stupid dog decided to take himself swimming in the River Idle. Can't keep him out of water!
He chose the muddiest bit of bank to climb back out of.1 -

We made a rod for our own backs here. He couldn't or wouldn't swim when we got him. We decided it would be a good idea to teach him while we had the boat.rugbymadfamily said:Haha they always manage to choose the muddiest bit, its like they have a 6th sense for it!
Now we can't keep him out of water. Any water will do 🤣🤣🤣3 -
