Sounds like you’re doing really well out of the eBaying - are all items selling?

We have sold every item we have listed so far. Having another sort through our remaining boat stuff this week to see what else we can put up for sale next weekend. Think it is just that boats have become very popular this last year or so which is helping us get good money for the stuff we are selling.

That’s great news and boats are def cool p1key wagons on the other hand really aren’t but I love that you couldn’t care less just do what you do no regard for the image need more of that in my life ha.
Agreed the van will never be cool but it will be infinitely more practical and cheaper to run and maintain than the boat was. It will also give us a far greater choice of where we go away even just for the weekend.

Brilliant news about the sales, will be a decent sum to go towards your motorhome.

I think I grew out of worrying about what other people think of me image wise when I was in my early 30s. The important thing is doing what you want and what makes you happy, it doesn't matter what other people think. Some people I work with who try and portray an image of having it all, flashy car, big house, expensive clothes and holidays are actually up to their eyeballs in debt and laying awake all night worrying about it.

The trouble is motorhomes have too so prices are rocketing at the moment.  You'll probably get a better deal to buy one next year as I suspect a lot of people who have bought them this year will want to start flying abroad again next year and want to get rid of the motorhomes so prices, hopefully, should drop again next year!

The money from the sales is going into the savings account for now. We are not entirely sure what we will use it for yet but it is likely to go towards kitting out the motorhome I think.

People keep telling us that motorhomes have gone up in value yet when we were looking a couple of years ago the prices for a few year old van were pretty similar to what they are now. The price of new ones has gone up and the older ones seem to have gone up a bit but the few year old ones don't seem to have been affected as much.

It may well end up being next year when we get one. It just depends what crops up for sale and when. We are not rushing into buying one and are happy to wait for the right one to come for sale.

The weather was beautiful this morning so I decided to get a load of washing done to hang out to dry on the line. No sooner was the washing on the line the skies clouded over and we have had a couple of light showers!

Going to persevere with it though. There is a nice breeze so it should dry off this afternoon.

Exact opposite for me!  It was pouring this morning and by mid morning had really brightened up; still fairly bright now.  I'm hoping to do a machine load of washing tomorrow as it's forecast to be dry all day until about 5pm so should be able to get it dry.  Love being able to get the washing out on the line rather than the airer.
