It is Friday at last. It should be a low spends day today.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast and dinner tonight is spicy bean burgers with sweet potato wedges, beer battered onion rings and corn on the cob. Lunch today is fish and chips from the local chippy.

I think the other half is going to pop to the farm shop today for the fruit and veg to save us a job tomorrow. He was also murmuring about going to the butchers in town to get a pork pie, so I guess he will get some bacon while he is there as well.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • walking the dog
Looking forward to putting the computer away tonight. It has been an odd sort of work week. Nothing that a few beers won't put to bed tonight though.

The weather isn't up to much again. Still very wet and windy out here.

I like it when your OH is on furlough you have such decadent lunches 😆 I love spicy bean burgers and sweet potato wedges, that's what I had last Saturday. Isn't it great to log off on a Friday and forget all about work for two days, bliss.

    It's the weekend 😃

The other half did the bit of shopping that we needed yesterday so we are aiming for a no spends weekend.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Bacon and egg muffin for breakfast, pork pie, pickles and cheese for lunch and dinner tonight is slow cooked beef madras with rice, onion bhaji and naan bread.

Today we will take the dog for a long walk,  although the weather outside sounds horrible, and then this afternoon we have a selection of items to put on Ebay. A selection of old boat stuff, an outboard engine and some almost new door locks that we took out of the house when we moved in.

The engine should fetch a fair amount. The other stuff not as much it is more the quantity that will add up with those.

We took advantage of a couple of hours of sunshine yesterday afternoon to get the car out of the garage so we could get the outboard engine out. We still have a lot of stuff to sort out in there!

I can officially tell you that if your weather is like ours it is horrible and I have to go the collect my prescription today. Not looking forward to either that or walking the dogs.

Not got up to check yet. The rain is hammering on the bedroom window and the wind whistling around the gable end so we know it isn't nice out. May as well stay in a nice warm cosy bed for a bit 😆

I can confirm that it’s awful outside. Just been out to the local shops and have battled with the wind and rain, I am soaked.

Good effort. I'm impressed going out in the wind and rain.

We have dragged ourselves out of bed, had a couple of brews and a bacon and egg muffin for breakfast.

It has stopped raining here for now and the sun is starting to poke through the cloud so we might take the opportunity to take the dog out for a walk soon.

Think we must be quite lucky then as it's really bright here but it is very windy.  We had a bit of rain in the air about 9 o'clock but nothing much to speak of.  I've got washing on the line and it looks as though it's dry already!
