Default and company gone into administration

In 2015 I defaulted on a wageday advance payday loan. This is due to drop off my credit report In sep 2021.
I am
hoping to apply for a mortgage before September.
Wageday advance went into administration for claims for irresponsible lending , which I was a victim off.
My understanding would be that if they have lent to me irresponsibly, then the default is incorrect on my credit file. I am praying anyway.
I am struggling to get in contact with them. Does anyone have any advice on where I stand please or is it just wishful thinking?
Thanks

You’d have to lodge a irresponsible lending complaint with the administrator of the company most likely. That doesn’t mean if you won you’d get the default removed either but you might get a refund of fees & such. Depends how it goes.
If you weren’t happy you could then push it to the ombudsman.1 -
It does yes, im
not sure wether you have ever had a gambling addiction and known how hard it was to fight? That was the reason for my borrowing. Don’t judge if you don’t know the details. 4 years bet and debt free, comments like yours I take with a pinch of salt . Bye1 -

Generally if you win the case then you won’t just get the interest plus interest paid back you will also have all markers removed from credit file.In this instance if you would you’d obviously get very little back but it’s the information you want gone.Go look at debt camel website. There are threads and threads of this exact thing. Probably have contact details for the administrator too.1

Link is here for you -Very well done stopping the gambling, it takes heart and perseverence to do that, ignore the trolls, they crawl out from their perfect little world under the bridge every so often.Good luck with your complaint, you may need to be quick, there may be a time limit for claims, I can`t find any particular info on that.
