Ebay is driving me mad anyway because they keep changing my settings on my auctions and now I have a buyer that has given me this address to post their item to
GSP, Unit 3 Dove CL, Fradley Pk
LICHFIELD Staffordshire WS13 8UR
United Kingdom
I know nothing about this, I at no time agree to send to pass over to another postal service that I have no idea who they are I have no interest at all in being caught up in the middle of a potential double postal dispute! What are my options?
Do I have any grounds to refuse to post to another postal service?
And how do I change my Ebay so this does not happen again?

I don't know what you mean though by 'buyer giving you address' the only address that matters is the one that comes through for the shipping label- anything different that a buyer might give you would mean you gave up seller protection.
Incidentally my personal view, and others may disagree, is that GSP gets you very high prices on certain collectable items. I'm selling off some old collectable toys that my sons had, one of my items going tomorrow made around 40% more than I would have got selling just to UK buyers , My UK buyers dropped out of the bidding quite early- 2 overseas bidders kept going until the end and I am exceptionally pleased with the price- far more than I was expecting.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. "It is a UK address and your UK postage is exactly the same as it would be if you sent it to a private householder."No it is not. If something goes wrong I would be stuck between a dispute of two postal services and I really do not need that I find it stressful enough with Ebay constantly changing my setting etc. There is actually another post where someone has this exact problem and is down by several hundred pounds!I have one collectable item for sale offering shipping abroad and I did not have to use Global shipping in order to do this!0

'You' only have to get it to the ebay hub, once it is delivered there you are covered against an INR, if it gets lost - and one of my Italian GSP did go astray after ebay sent it on, then ebay pay and it had no effect on my account at all.
If you wish to ship overseas then that is absolutely fine, remember to use appropriate tracked services and always check with the RM announcements as many countries are still experiencing severe delays and a buyer can open an INR before your item even has a chance to get there. Remember as well when adding your own International postage to a listing to account for the additional ebay and paypal fees on that postage.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As far as you the seller and your liabilities are concerned, there is only 1 postal service involved and that is the one transporting the goods from you to the GPS depot at Lichfield.pennyforthem said:"It is a UK address and your UK postage is exactly the same as it would be if you sent it to a private householder."No it is not. Once you have proof of delivery to that address, it is no different to having proof of delivery to the house of the buyer as the liability for any loss or damage to the shipment gets transferred to eBay when that shipment is delivered to Lichfield.2 -
A cup of tea should sort the OP out .
You need a few cuppas just reading MSE posts..... its alot like London traffic .
I found the post very interesting.
Having considered overseas sales high risk but it seems from the info here if you list/post via using this GSP thing..... that is not the case at all ?
If so then the next question is.... is your item likely to gain a higher overseas sale using either buy it now or the auction format..do they charge a extra fvf for overseas listing ?
Im in a ebay learning curve here and now thinking certain items might be worth listing overseas ?

As a seller there are no additional costs with using the Global Shipping Programme.
eBay build the extra cost into the postage price paid by the buyer.0 -
Thanks for the info .
