@determined_new_ms you just tip the runny jam back into the preserving pan and boil it up some more. That is it. It might only want 5 more minutes, maybe a bit longer. Not too long though. When it is ready to set, it will 'feel different' as you stir it. Saucer test to make sure. You will end up with not quite so many jars.

I hoped you would advise Dawn! I've done it, for about 6/7 minutes and lost 12 a jar! Really hope it's not over done as I want to give one as a gift

have you had marrow and ginger jam It's so good!

    Thank you

It's a method of keeping on top of housework. The Organised Mum Method. Google it, it's a craze. Nuts and bolts L1 is load of washing, 1 task in the bathroom & vacuum/sweep main downstairs rooms daily Mon-Fri. The L2 is you do 30 mins a day hw, a different room each day (Thurs is kitchen). Set an alarm, go fast (well I do at least) and focus on the things most needed and when the alarm goes off finish. I then set another alarm for 10 mins and go round room by room collecting things that don't belong and putting them away.

It's a revelation! 45 mins Mon-Fri and my house stays clean and tidy, and we are quite messy. I used to spend a big chunk of the day pottering around cleaning ad tidying now once I'm done the rest of my time is doing what I want

Suffering a bit from yesterday's marathon running up and down stairs / garden path with boxes. Sadly I am not as young as I once was. But I have:
    Usual early morning dog walk
Bit of cleaning, not much - but I did tidy the attic conversion and pick up all the toys :)
Picked the French beans, a big bowlful again. I will probably freeze most of these.
Planted a few stray lettuce plants out in a trough that had become empty.
Sowed rocket seed in a big pot that had also become empty
Made a batch of scones, must freeze some
Made a batch of coconut oat biscuits, at OH's request
    RM surveys stuff
Also did business paperwork and updated my spreadsheet o:)
