When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

    Morning folks

WFH today although my laptop is being a pig. For some reason it continually disconnects and reconnects to the wifi. We don't have this issue with our pc or phones.

So much for my sit down. Next thing I know, I've got a tin of hammerite in my hand and I'm painting the gate. Got it all over myself and no brush cleaner. Resorted to the only cheap alcohol in the house which was Callum Best EDT that OH got for Christmas a few years ago and doesn't really use  I stank of the blimmin stuff all night. No amount of hand washing would get rid of the stink!

Just the usual today, will get back out with the Hammerite to try and finish the job later. And OH has been sent to the tip with a boot full of stuff. Broken office chair, broken push mower, knackered frying pan etc. He hates the tip poor chap.

    Have a good one all

Hi All thanks for a sparkly new week. I am in a bit of a bubble this week, as my dear mom is having heart surgery on Thursday and I am so worried, at least I had a lovely weekend with her, that is the main thing, for now, and then the surgeons doing their thing tomorrow is the other thing. So I have put all spending on hold until I know when I can go and see her and how it all pans out.
Of small things I did mow the lawn and finish weeding the front yesterday, so I can start over in a week or so. I also picked an actual cucumber, a tomato and a fig in the garden yesterday. Not much of a harvest.
Today is back to work, working a full 3 day week! Time to apply for some more full time roles.
