Afternoon all((Hugs)) Ditty, thinking of you and your Mum xxOne of thise headless chicken days here - got some random things done this morning:Dog walkPut sleeping bags out on line in the (then) sunshine to air before I put them away Got them in off the line before it rained, shoved them back into their bags and put them in the airing cupboard.Put a load of dry washing awaySorted out some stuff in the garage to make a bit of spaceSorted out more stuff in the dining roomBrought a couple of chilli plants indoors to make space for the aubergines in the conservatory. Now on one end of the dining table (big Victorian one, plenty of space left for eating our dinner
And they actually look quite cool there.
Sorted out some stuff for sales unit, took it down there and filled my shelvesWent to W*itrose while I was out. I don't go to supermarkets if I can avoid it, but managed to get the bits that didn't arrive in last week's Mr S delivery. Chose W*itrose as it was less likely to be crowded than the others, and I knew it would stock the ingredients that I wanted. Not cheap, but I felt comfortable and they had what I wanted. Bought a couple of bags of their Essentials pasta while I was in there, as it was a good price. Not everything in there is expensive, and their Essentials range is excellent.Still need to:Put a load of stuff away in the loft / eaves cupboard. Rearranging this to make space, while crawling about on my hands and knees, will take me most of the afternoonDone, feeling a bit broken now after numerous trips up and down 2 flights of stairs, and up and down the garden to the garage, boxes in tow. I ought to be thinner than I am! But downstairs looks quite tidy now
Upstairs, or at least the attic conversion at the top of the house, is scattered with the children's toys. A job for another day!
OH is cooking tonight, but I will need to go outside in the rain and pull some carrots Done, also picked some kale.I have some business paperwork to do, and need to check the banks and update my spreadsheet. This will be appearing on tomorrow's list!Better make a start on putting shop stock / camping stuff away. All done5 -
Thanks for well wishes for my mum, she's mad full of energy for 80 - she went for a swim in the sea today, before she has open heart surgery tomorrow. I'm feeling confident for her, but arranged to work at home. Managed all meals from stores today, will probably have to go and do more shopping tomorrow, as were already getting low on everything. I want to have that much energy for change :-)

Evening all,
@ditty1234 I hope all went well with the op.
@determined_new_ms Hope madam enjoyed her first day back to school. Mine aren't back til Tues and Thur next week - its been a long time!
@carrielovesfanta I hope your tum has settled down now.
@DawnW Sounds like a very productive day for you!
Didn't get round to posting yesterday but got a lot done as the weather was good...
We cut back some bushes at the rental house (good timing as it was the garden waste collection today!)
Spent a couple of hours in our garden chopping back (our garden waste day today too - 10 bags taken away this morning)
Painted porch to tidy it up - had paint in the garage and took less then 10mins (why oh why have I been putting it off since the start of lockdown!)
Washed a load and hung on the line to dry (all put straight away, no need to get the iron out)
Washed & hoovered out both our cars
Picked blackberries on our walk and had them with some stewed apple (bruised apples from the fruit bowl) and some creme fraiche.
Washed the kitchen windows (can't remember the last time we paid someone to do it)
Today was a really wet day so...
Banking all checked and spreadsheet updated
Another walk and more blackberries picked - thought we'd go as it brightened up.... was about to head home and it threw it down!! ah well we are waterproof!
Picked up mr t click and collect and popped into homeB on the way back to get some toiletries (was home by 8:30 am) I'll miss the boys being home to help carry the shopping in & put it away with me when they're back to school!
Shared bath water (left hair to dry naturally as usual)
Updated freezer inventory
Take care all.

Morning folks
@ditty1234 Will be thinking of your mum
@determined_new_ms I'm glad that madam is enjoying school. Have a nice day off!
Love and <covid safe> hugs to everyone. I'm feeling much better today thanks. Still a bit delicate but seem to have reasserted order over my insides
Bad start to the day as we got half way to work and I realised that I'd forgotten my laptop and we had to turn round and get it!
Things looking a bit covidy in my part of the UK - cases on the rise might be headed for a local lockdown. I don't think it would massively affect us except not going to mil's. She has requested that we go out for dinner together this weekend but OH is going to put her off as a: it's not budgeted for and b: it's really awkward this weekend as I am doing my cbt on Saturday and OH is busking on Sunday!
Not much mse going on today. I might buy a tin of soup for my lunch and we are supposed to be going out for tea with a couple of people from the gym but I might just send OH, depending on how my tummy feels. Def will NOT be drinking! If I go, I think I'll have sushi.
Looking like I'm not in tomorrow (fingers crossed).
Have a good one all

Morning everyone! 😊 I've been on leave so awol for a while 🙈
@ditty1234 hope all goes well for your mum today - lots of positive vibes being sent! She sounds amazing!!
@determined_new_ms - what is TOMM? I've come up with loads of possibilities but still not sure! 🤔😂
Last week was lovely- went away, came back and did a couple of good garden days, had dgs for the weekend and have had a day of planning for the next 16 months so feeling very organised 😉 I also had 13 hours of sleep yesterday!! 😂 obviously needed it as feel lots better today!
Today I'm running an errand at lunchtime and have dgs over later for his weekly sleepover 😍 I need to clean the bathroom and see if I can get some washing on the line but it may end up a tumble dryer day with this weather.
I've got some beans and courgettes to be picked and possibly a handful of tomatoes so will make a ratatouille later - I got some ys vegan 'kofta kebabs' yesterday so may cook them to go along with it.
Hope you all have a fab day! 😊5 -
Hi all I am just sitting here fretting, my sister should call me in a couple of hours to see how things went. But I think my mums heart is so ful of love after her birthday celebration last weekend, that it should keep her going. Will report back.
IN the meantime I have a very boring question, while it is not cold yet so I don't want to turn heat on, I do find everything gets a bit damp this time of year, or rather it is har to dry clothes inside. What do you do. DO you use a dehumidifier - it's not that damp. OR a small blower/fan/heater unit? I'm thinking about getting one to supplement heat as usually I just want heat for an hour or two and then just keep the house on 16-17 the rest of the time?

@ditty1234 I LOVE my dehumidifier. It makes such a difference. I think @foxgloves is a big fan of them too.LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.314
