Thanks. I think working 1 or 2 days a week or a couple of hours each morning would be perfect. In reality that just wouldn't happen as my work wouldn't agree to that, plus I'm obliged to go back for a full year anyway. Might need to compromise.

I've never liked the political rubbish that comes with work and I've even less patience for it now. Just not interested in silly political games - probably why I'll never be in charge! I do like the technical side as it keeps my brain working.

Another bad night with about 3 hours sleep. May have suddenly made a breakthrough as just managed to convince DD to use the baby carrier (refused before) and use the dummy!

I'm not a huge fan of dummies and DS never had one as he always refused it. Apparently babies never over eat, but no one bothered to tell DD that as she loves to comfort suck, overeats, cries as she's uncomfortable, throws up, cries again and then is upset as she can't sleep, then wants to comfort stuck to get to sleep.. etc etc. I really hope this dummy will stick and break us out of this cycle! I just can't function on this little sleep!

Sounds sensible to me too. I used dummies with mine in the end too as I didn't want to be used as one either - I breast fed both of mine - much longer with DD than DS.

I've given up predicting what DD is going to do day to day. It makes it hard to plan for anything really, but trying to go with it (I hate not being able to plan anything at all). Eventually she'll get into a routine (hopefully in the next month or so).

Today and yesterday she slept in the baby carrier attached to me for a couple of hours first thing. Yesterday I used that time to tidy round the house. Today I branched out and made hummus and also made meringues at the same time so the chickpea water didn't get wasted. Chucked loads of it into the freezer.

Never actually made my own hummus (shockingly), but it is only me that likes it and only recently got a baby mixer that allows me to make it. Had hummus, carrot and salad sandwiches for lunch. DH hates hummus (he's as bad as a child with all the things he doesn't like..), but had the same as me as then he didn't have to make his own lunch 🙄

Dinner was chicken fajitas (courtesy of DH as dinner time is not possible for me to cook - baby witching hour). DS had the last piece of chocolate cake. DH doesn't like meringue apparently and was appalled it was made from chickpea 😂. However, as I was making myself an Eton mess with blueberries, raspberries, meringue and Greek yogurt, he decided to join in. He wolfed the whole thing down and wanted seconds! As I said, it's like having a child! No blueberries though as apparently he doesn't like those either *sigh*.

Did a tiny (and I mean tiny) bit of bathroom cleaning today. Trying to do a teeny bit everyday until at least the bathrooms are all under control. Will ignore the rest of the house for now... DH will have to oblige!

All my parcels arrived today from orders I made in May.  Felt a bit guilty, but very happy with my pie dish  A NSD today and need quite a few more. I think tracking them is going to be very eye opening for me!

Anyway, need to dash to start thinking about DS's bedtime and then I sleep for the first DD shift until midnight ish and then am up from then *sigh*.

Bad night last night and probably only got 3 hours sleep max. Now feel awful.

Broke out the baby carrier this morning and apparently sitting down wasn't an option, so I decided to do some cooking if I was forced to walk around (better than cleaning!). The biscuits ran out today (everyone loves them so they don't last long!), so I made another two batches: orange and cranberry; orange and dark chocolate chip. Got oranges in the fruit box delivered this week, so lots more things will have to be orange flavoured or contain orange in the near future! Saved the skin of the orange I used for the biscuits and froze it to make candied peel at some point in the future when I have enough (it's then lovely cooked into bread).

Also made broccoli soup and cheese on toast for lunch. Sacking off any thoughts of cleaning today as too tired. Did one load of washing, but was needed after a couple of major sick incidents!  Also not doing the eBay packaging until tomorrow (sold two more things).

Dinner was pizza and salad. Pudding was blueberries/raspberries (bananas for DS), yogurt and meringue.

Need to really list some more things on eBay including baby clothes (but need to wash them first) and need to think about getting the next size baby clothes out the attic and washing them ready. One for the weekend hopefully.

Apparently DS has noticed I've been cleaning all the sinks (just not anything else!). When he went to wash his hands after nursery he said he needed to "clean the sink first". He then pretended to clean the sink and proclaimed it was all sparkly 😂.

    Another NSD today.

Glad someone is still taking biscuits seriously!😆
Hopefully DD will settle into a routine soon.
Still amazed at how much you're fitting in.
    Soup and cheese sounds lovely.
