Hooray on the popcorn! (What’s not to love?!) I’m with DS - love a savoury muffin 😋Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Well it’s not midday yet and despite being awake most the night making sure DD was at the right temperature (she has a temperature with a cold/cough thing) so she got as much sleep as possible, I’ve already done one load of washing, made rosemary crackers (which smell amazing) and two lots of vanilla ice cream now freezing. I also plan to make pizza pinwheels later and the dough is out the freezer defrosting. The crackers are my latest thoughts for DD snack ideas and the pizza pinwheels are because she isn’t keen on sandwiches and I am hoping she’ll have these for our picnic tomorrow and save some money.
I did make oat cakes yesterday which everyone liked bar DD. She did love the yogurt I froze into lollies though as it really cooled her down!
Apparently once DD is asleep for her midday nap, DS wants to book me for “a major decluttering session” in his room after we watched Sort Your Life Out last night. Who am I to disagree with more junk disappearing from DS’s room?!
Lunch today will be scrambled egg with hm toast and spinach/mushrooms for the adults and baked beans for the kids. Kids have yogurt for after a. Dinner will be spag Bol I took out the freezer and dessert will probably be ice lollies or ice cream as it’s so hot.
I’ve used up all my elderly dried yeast now (it didn’t rise the best) and so I can get some more. I love having hm bread, but it’s finding the time that’s difficult. I’ve not perfected it, although they always taste fine. I’m experimenting a bit with doing the first bit, then putting it in the fridge overnight and taking it out to prove properly first thing in the morning. Saves a lot of time and it’s then ready to be baked by lunchtime. Only possible since I work from home, but I just need to find a routine that works for me.
Freezer is absolutely rammed again and I’m not entirely sure why since I cook from scratch so often. Will be trying hard to clear it down by the end of the year.
Off out to a comedy evening this evening with my sister. I think it’s the first time I’ve been let out since August 2022!2025 decluttering: 3,848🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

and I can confirm they are epic… I don’t think they’ll last 5 mins around here! They are slightly salty for my taste, but you can easily adjust that.2025 decluttering: 3,848🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Fabulous, thank you! They look dead simple - I think I’ll try them tomorrow - the oven is not going on today, but sadly I need to bake bread tomorrow, so at least I can make the most of it being on.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Those crackers look fab, winder if they'd work with dried herbs?2

I’d think so, Ed, just use less of dried herbs as the flavour is concentrated.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Might give those a go as the rosemary might hide the usual aftertaste you get with gluten free flour.
