Sun tan lotion is not cosmetic product.

Signed. I can't believe it was classed as cosmetic!
The lost VAT can come from higher taxes on the wealthy, and from actually recouping the taxes evaded and avoided by the well to do and businesses.1 -
Really? Every inch of skin? How are you going to manage that?sheramber said:No need for sunscreen. Cover up when going out in the sun.1 -
Clothing and a big hat0

Dress accordingly. Despite having fair skin I do not buy sun screen/lotion. I wear clothing that covers me and and a hat that shades my face.onwards&upwards said:

Or you could use a parasol to shade you.0 -
I think a counter petition should be started to keep it as it is.5

Of all the things for me to be concerned about, this is about 1,345,789 on the list
I buy one bottle of sun cream a year costs about a tenner. I can live with that
So it's a no from me

The tax in the UK is more heavily skewed towards the wealthy than it is in our neighbours, so it’s probably time to stop trying to extract ever more from that group and instead to have the lower paid start to pay their own wayonwards&upwards said:Signed. I can't believe it was classed as cosmetic!

Or you could use sunscreen to make sure and allow you to wear clothing that isn't completely impractical for loads and loads of outdoor activities.2 -
Sadly 'virtue signallers' generally only have one card up their sleeves - their answer to any question about who should pay is 'somebody else'.John_ said:

Yes lets increase the tax burden on the highest 1% who already pay 30% of collected income tax in this country so they get fed up and leave. Who then will pick up the lost tax revenue. Sun screen is cheap to buy, don't see the need for it to be tax exempt so I can save all of 10p. There are more important things to worry about in life at the moment.onwards&upwards said:Signed.
